  1. PM on Charlie Rouse Social Call.
  2. Happy Birthday, John. Hope you had a good one.
  3. I don't think his name has been mentioned yet, but how about Lem Winchester?
  4. Having never been a big fan of John Coltrane's post Love Supreme sessions(please don't slam me) and after listening to the very enjoyable Crescent album, I would have loved to hear his return to something abit more accessable. Hey, that's just me. Your mileage may vary.
  5. Hell yeah. How could I forget him, Bill!
  6. Clifford and Tina Brooks were the first musicians that came to mind. In addition let me add Sonny Clark and trumpeter Joe Gordon.
  7. I've had the music playing downstairs most of the day. A great day for jazz lovers.
  8. Just happened to hear, WKCR will be broadcasting this Sunday 24 hours of the music of Thelonious Monk beginning at midnight. WKCR, New York Thought you guys might be interested.
  9. Thanks for plugging that release. I just had the opportunity to hear the samples and made the purchase. Very nice lineup on that date!
  10. I just purchased this recording after receiving a recent email from True Blue Music that it has moved to "Last Chance". I don't know how many copies they have available? But if you've been sitting on the fence, now is the time to move and purchase this terrific date at an affordable price.(14.98) Amazon has new copies available for $45!
  11. Tornado watch out till 6 PM eastern time. Yikes!
  12. Just got off the phone with Paypal. For some reason my credit card was being proccessed as a debit card and not allowing the transaction. I'm not sure how that happened? We made the necessary changes as to how the card is processed and my account is now back up and running. Thanks guys for your help.
  13. Up to recently I've had no issues using Paypal when making purchases online. A couple months ago I began encountering problems not being able to complete tranasctions, claiming my card is invalid. This is especially frustrating when I attempt to make purchases on eBay. I've had to contact the vendors asking if we could seek alternative solutions, like just mailing a check. There is nothing wrong with the card when I make numerous transactions on say Amazon, so what gives? The tough thing is that I own only 1 credit card. It helps keep me out of trouble and for the most part debt free which is important to me. Anyone else have similiar issues with Paypal? Let me say I did contact them over the phone, but they seemed unwilling to help me out. So much for customer service.
  14. It's almost 80 degrees here at nearly 8PM eastern time. Might not sound like much, but pretty warm for late September here in the Northeast.
  15. PM on Sonny Red.
  16. Sorry to hear that Buddy has passed. I purchased his release "Man Of Many Parts" just last week.
  17. PM sent on Sonny Red, Red Blue and Green and Booker Little and Friends.
  18. Any thoughts on this live date from 1960? I just heard the track "What Is This Thing Called Love" and it absolutely smokes. I already own a number of his other live dates from this time period, but was unaware of this recording. Features Cannonball, Nat, Victor Feldman, Sam Jones and Louis Hayes I believe.
  19. Online or in the store? I'm going to be in Boston in a few weeks. Sorry for the confusion. I realized afterwards that I SHOULD have mentioned Newbury Comics via Amazon Marketplace. That's what happens when you post on your lunch break.
  20. Looks like a decent ammount of OJC titles are available from Newbury Comics at very reasonable prices. I purchased the Buddy Collette release "Man of Many Parts" for only $2.97.
  21. Happy Birthday, Dan. Hope you have a good one.
  22. No problem in renting it. It's a free country. I'd be interested in your opinions once you viewed the entire series.
  23. Great to see the many recommendations here and the many fans of Geoffrey Keezer. Special thanks to Marcello for providing those excellent videos. Man, that was great! Looks like Live In Seattle with Joe Locke and Geoffrey Keezer may be my first purchase. Those guys really cook together. Please continue to add your input fellas. It's much appreciated.
  24. While getting dinner together tonight, I had the radio on KSDS in San Diego and they played a track by pianist Geoffrey Keezer. Not familiar with the guy, but from I heard, he might be someone I would like to further explore. Any other fans here? Any albums I should be checking out?
