  5. Wayne Shorter; Etcetera. Blue Note rainbow.
  6. Prompted by another thread. Excellent stuff, fine playing and good period fun.
  7. Thanks for the link - fascinating stuff.
  8. It's a nice record. I saw the quintet with this basic line up at Ronnie Scott's - one of those unforgettable dates.
  9. Thanks for reminder Brownie. One I've not played for while, just pulled off my shelf and plying now. Mine's a US Arista. As usual with Arista/Savoys it comes with a useful liner note.
  10. Not had Bill Evans out for a while so it's The Complete Bill Evans on Verve. Disc 11 (Village Vanguard with Eddie Gomez and Philly Joe). Next up discs 12-14.
  11. Many happy returns
  12. Thanks for that Pete.
  13. Great choice! Love this record. Works beautifully, from start to finish. Can even accept the editing.
  14. Their reply to my email: ...thank you for your email. Probably is a mistake of our manufactoring.....we will reprint this title and we can send another copy of Box Set of David Murray within a few days. I will advice you when the Box Set will be available. In the meantime you can please give me your address where I can send it. Best Regards CAMJazz Staff No word on availability as yet. Just received an email from Simone at CamJazz. Replacement boxes will be shipped 6-8 weeks from now. Yes, same here. Received a similar email from Simone at Cam Jazz in Rome. They seem like a decent organisation.
  15. Activity in the Tony Fruscella topic reminded me that I have this and it deserves a play. Followed on with the Moody/Bennie Green tracks on volume 4.
  16. Up to disc 5 now. Nice stuff so far. Though I already have a fair amount of this.
  17. Can't see anything in Lord that might help. Is Deacon a UK label
  18. Thanks Pete, my memory is still pretty vague. I'd guess that Holland and Ellington are certainties but Daley?????
  19. I emailed Cam Jazz yesterday. I'll post as soon as I get a response.
  20. This album on the complete Jackie McLean Quartet, Quintet, Sextet Sessions
  21. Many happy returns Andy.
  22. Just playing some Rivers now and recalled that I saw him at The Roundhouse in London in 1979. I remember him playing piano and reeds but the the accompanying band has gone from my memory. The best guess is Joe Daley, Dave Holland and Steve Ellington. Anyone here able to confirm or otherwise.
