  1. There's a store in Pittsburgh that has, I think, two copies of the Bert Savoy. They're used at $8 a piece. PM me if you're interested.
  2. This is what I meant
  3. Thanks! Talk about a truly remarkable experience!
  4. I don't own any Pepper led dates, but I do have him on Dizzy's Live at the Village Vanguard with Corea, Jones, etc. and Adams is just incredible on that one. I also have him on a Savoy date called Jazzmen Detroit, and that one is also a really nice one. No other horns, but with Burrell and Flanagan behind him. A second word for the Byrd-Adams dates, that was a great front line.
  5. Great news! And glad to hear that the O is staying
  6. Have the Gillespie/Fuller disc on Pacific Jazz and that one is excellent!
  7. Unwrap and play cds that I have had sitting around for the last year.
  8. Still pretty cold here.
  9. Wife and I are enjoying a couple of Long Island Ice teas :rsmile:
  10. No kidding. Great sound and great packaging. It seems that the Fantasy, Riverside and Contemporary K2 titles are becoming increasingly harder to find. Sure glad I snapped up the Peppers when they first came out.
  11. As long as its innocent and nothing serious, then a little flirting here and there is ok.
  12. I like the entire boxset 'For All Time.'
  13. Someone bought me one of these when I graduated from college. I think I broke it in less than 5 minutes
  14. I see the K2's show up periodically in the second-hand bins. My advice is to frequent used cd shops; I just recently saw Bag's Groove K2 going for $6 awhile back.
  15. Snowing here in Northeast Ohio.
  16. Then Brotz for Lovers ...not!
  17. Shouldn't this one be in the 'musicians enjoying cigarettes' thread?
  18. That's the one on Hat, right? I had this one in my hands at the store earlier today, but opted for 14 Love Poems. Thanks for the quick review. Maybe I'll head back and pick it up.
  19. For the very short time I've been here, what I've learned from this board has been indespensible and invaluable. This board is simply one of the best, if not the best when it comes to jazz. If the board doesn't survive this crisis, thank you Jim for maintaining such a great place to hang. Bill
