  5. And those stickers plastered all over Columbia/Legacy's cd's. Those big square yellow ones in particular (those gold Miles stickers are ok to get off) whose glue comes right off the sticker and stays on the jewel case-WHAT A PAIN IN THE ASS TO GET THAT FRICKIN' GLUE OFF THE CASE I've stopped trying to peel those stickers off. Easier just to buy a box full of empty jewel cases and move the booklets, covers, disc, etc., into those. This stuff takes care of that crap. SOLD!

  12. Firing up the grill tonight and cooking some steaks.
  13. 20% off through September 29. Good on whatever two or three cd's you can find in their jazz section It's weird — there've been a number of stories here about Borders shrinking their music section and having virtually little or no jazz, but the Borders here seems to be an anomaly. They have all the current RVGs, and the jazz section actually appears to have expanded some. I don't get it, but I'm not going to complain! You're pretty lucky! The so-called more cultured-area Borders jazz section has shrunk by some 75%! They have a couple of the new Prestige RVG's but hardly any BN RVG's and hardly any other stock except for the more recent, popular 'hits.' in jazz, if you can call it that. Its really sad when Half Price Books has a way bigger and better jazz section than the normal retail stores!
  14. Anyone have or know the band/track details on the Watts? That album cover looks pretty cool, especially for 1969!

  16. Some 'classic era' dates that never did it for me: Lush Life-too many ballads, and what a shame not to do so much more with a cast like that Rough and Tumble -dull and boring as some have said above I'm Movin' On-no one seems really inspired on this one to me Blue Hour-put me to sleep Horace Scope-like some other Silver dates, just all start to sound the same to me-Jody Grind on the other hand, is an all together different affair!
  17. Miles Davis in Berlin-Columbia/Legacy Sun Ra-Outer Space Employment Agency-Total Energy
  18. That would be great, since I'm not willing to part with my 'Three Originals' box sets.
  19. At Half Price Books: James Blood Ulmer-Revealing-In & Out Records Lester Bowie's Brass Fantasy-Twilight Dreams-Virgin Venture $6 a piece :rsmile:
  20. Hope everything's ok in TX, Shawn.
  21. I'm stunned. I saw PF in '86 on the Momentary Lapse of Reason tour and Wright along with Nick Mason stole the show. I can't believe he's dead! RIP!
