  1. Happy Birthday!
  2. Alexander's bringing a real gun instead of the cheap prop they provided. That ought to increase the tension on stage! Get 'em Alex!
  3. I hate seeing any player get hurt. I hate it even worse if I accidentally hurt someone else when I'm playing, and would never do it intentionally. So, purposely stepping under someone's foot to make them roll an ankle is about as chump as it gets, in my book.
  4. True, you've still got to pump iron--but the results won't be as dramatic nearly as quickly. That's what I meant by "earned."
  5. YEEEEEEHAAAAAAAAAAAAAW!
  6. Not sure Agg, let's ask "Starbury."
  7. Recently picked up this comp which has a few cool Shuggie Otis tracks. More funky schtuff.
  8. Bowen once jumped under Kobe's feet on a jumper in a playoff game, causing him to turn an ankle. It appeared deliberate to me. He's not above this sort of thing, imo.
  9. This series is in the refrigerator. The door is closed, the lights are out, the eggs are getting cool, the butter's getting hard, and the jelloooooooooo's jiggling.
  10. Thanks Dan. I haven't read up on this stuff. The superhuman muscles weren't earned in the weight room. It's a shame. I remember McGwire's forearms were friggin' surreal, like calves. Remember how Brady Anderson got all huge and hit 50 homers? He must be the same story.
  11. A few questions... Is Bonds still using steroids? He still hits home runs. It's my understanding that size and strength gained from steroids will be lost once the user stops using steroids. Isn't that true? How can one be so sure that Bonds knew "the cream" and "the clear" were steroids? When I think steroids, I think needles. Maybe that's what Bonds thought. Upon what basis does he lose the benefit of the doubt? It's well established that he's a big jerk and unpopular with his teammates, but how do we know he's a liar?
  12. When Fish first joined the Lakers he couldn't shoot and all he did was hustle on defense and scrap for loose balls. He worked tirelessly on his jumper until he had a fairly accurate three pointer. The shot he made to keep the Lakers from going down 1-3 in the Western Conference Finals against the Spurs with four tenths of a second left in the game is one of the most memorable shots of my lifetime. Getting overpaid by the Warriors was a just reward for all his efforts. That said, I too wish Fish the best and his daughter a speedy and complete recovery. He's a classy, hardworking ballplayer.
  13. Doesn't he want to come home and play with his pal Kobe?
  14. I have the soundtrack, and dig the tune "Lumumba" by Miriam Makeba.
  15. That's my favorite Sly & The Family Stone song, SS1. Hands down. I've been listening to Sly's High On You lately. "Crossword Puzzle."
  16. Bummer. I wish the only thing which had ever been juiced was the ball, then all that fun I had watching McGwire and Sosa hit bombs wouldn't be tainted. 450' towering shots bouncing off facades and all, it was awesome.
  17. Couldn't Bonds have added muscle mass using Creatine or other supplements before they were banned? The rules were sketchy at the time Bonds is alleged to have abused steroids, and have since been clarified.
  18. Another belated Happy Birthday!
  19. It might have been a more exciting finish had Nash been able to be on the floor. Amare might not have been taking contested shots with Nash setting the offense.
  20. Nash's nose won't stop bleeding. Youch.
  21. Gotta give credit to Mike Schwartz who first posted it at JC, Brother Goodz.
