  1. I do, especially in the Eastern Conference.
  2. Congrats to all the Cavs fans, and condolences to Jim A. That's a crazy stat on Tayshaun, Quincy! I never would have expected him to struggle so mightily.
  3. I don't know about dizzy, but Clem sure makes me laugh my azz off.
  4. LeBron is such an incredibly unique talent, and it was so obvious the moment his high school clips began playing on Sportscenter. It's amazing how nature tends to put all of her eggs in one basket, just like with Jordan. LeBron has the most freakish leaping ability combined with physicial strength and natural basketball ability, equal if not exceeding any which has ever been seen. He's like Dominique Wilkins with Iverson skills. When he does pass the ball, he does so with a court vision normally reserved for those who make passing their passion, like Kidd or Nash. Now, he's starting to show a killer instinct wherein he believes he can score regardless of the defense being thrown at him. The guy is just plain frightening. More power to him, he's fun to watch.
  5. The Dodgers had a walk off walk a few games back with a bases loaded HBP. Win's a win! It hurts to be on the losing end of such a play, though. I'm too young to have old-school baseball knowledge, but A-Rod's play does seem a bit chump to me. Then again, there's lots of things that I wouldn't do as a player myself, such as purposely throwing at a batter. Winning cheap isn't my thing.
  6. So there's two perceptions of A-Rod's deception. Was it a crafty, heads-up, old-school play or a dirty, bush-league, cheapskate play? I had the same thought as Quincy, that it's much like a "deak" infielders might try to put on a baserunner.
  7. Those to whom it does matter aren't doing enough listening.
  8. Hope you've got about two months allotted for listening, 7/4!
  9. Nice haul! I won't be buying much of anything for a spell. Hurtin' for $$$!
  10. Glad to watch it. LeBron is coming into his own. His team has no business winning games like this against the Pistons.
  11. The two dunks LeBron had to close the 4th quarter=big time clutch. Wow, Pistons get a whistle with under 5 seconds left.
  12. Many more albums are not great start to finish than ones which are.
  13. I don't think Kobe's going anywhere either, but any Chicago deal would have to include Deng.
  14. Like I've always said, it was not Kobe's decision to trade Shaq. From a Stephen A. Smith article quoting Kobe: The Lakers' owner, Jerry Buss, "called a meeting with me after he spoke with Jim Gray [of ESPN] to talk with him about Shaq's future in the middle of the 2004 season," Bryant said yesterday. "He met with me at the Four Seasons Hotel here across from Fashion Island, which is now the Island Hotel," Bryant said. "I went up to his penthouse suite. [buss] looks me dead in the face and says: 'Kobe, I am not going to re-sign Shaq. I am not about to pay him $30 million a year or $80 million over three years. No way in hell. I feel like he's getting older. His body is breaking down, and I don't want to pay that money to him when I can get value for him right now rather than wait. This is my decision. It's independent of you. My mind is made up. It doesn't matter to me what you do in free agency because I do not want to pay [shaq], period.' " "Dr. Buss said that," Bryant said. "And I haven't said anything for years because I've always felt like folks were just looking to create controversy. Now I know. I realize what extent [the Lakers] will go to, to cover themselves." And what does O'Neal think? "I believe Kobe 100 percent," said O'Neal, reached yesterday while in Los Angeles on business. "Absolutely. There's no doubt in my mind Kobe is telling the truth. I believe him a thousand percent. I would have respected Dr. Buss more as a man if he would have told me that himself, because I know he said it. But he didn't [tell me]. He never said a damn word to me."
  15. Look for A-Rod to get some chin music from a Toronto pitcher in the next game.
  16. Happy Birthday!
  17. The music's as cool as the cover! Wheedle's groove gets a big from me too. I got it with my latest batch.
  18. My prediction: Pistons defense locks down on the Cavs and Detroit takes the next two. Spurs close out the Jazz. Spurs over Pistons in seven.
  19. I enjoy watching the miserable, evil Spurs execute. Good basketball. Parker is one of the best point guards in the NBA, top five easily. Duncan is, hands down, the best post player in the league right now. Ginobili is crafty and fun to watch.
  20. Weird collection there. Johnnie Morissette "I'm Hungry" is some bare bones funk, and Rodney Trotter "Space Nigga" is strange over-produced disco funk. A lot I don't recognize though, I'll grab the ones I don't have.
