  1. I have a She's So Different vinyl reissue and, other than "Shoobeedoop & Cop Him" I found it forgettable. Is the other album any good?
  2. Luke is the Lakers' third best player, and easily the best passer on the team. He makes everyone better.
  3. When Kobe plays within the offense he is a fine team player. The trouble is, the guys he passes to don't make wide-open shots. When the team starts to struggle, as its leader he must take and make shots, and usually he has to create them for himself. When the Lakers had a balanced team during the Shaq years, Kobe played within the system and was an exemplory team player en route to three championships. The only time with Shaq in which he didn't play well as a team player was during the Finals against Detroit, when they were refusing to pass to each other.
  4. WOW! Mary Jane Hooper's "I've Got Reasons" is a favorite of mine. I want them all, too.
  5. Of course, being able to listen to the music is what's most important, I agree.
  6. Seconded. However, I still feel my emusic downloads "count" less than my purchased cds. I like having the artwork and manufactured cd like others.
  7. I used to use Toast with my external burner on my old mac. When I got a new mac I just started using iTunes because it did the same thing for me. Is there something Toast did for you which iTunes won't? It should be possible for you to use whatever the latest version of Toast is and set the preferences to burn with the internal burner, but I'm speaking hypothetically since I've never done it.
  8. Lightly seasoned and broiled tilapia, brown rice, and zucchini cooked with garlic. Hawaiian rolls.
  9. Except...the Nuggets have been playing good ball lately, with Iverson shooting a good percentage.
  10. Orville Redenbacher Kid Ory Robert Horry
  11. Just want to note that the stars on the walk of fame are purchased by the stars themselves. It's not some honor bestowed upon them by the city. Sort of takes the luster off it, doesn't it?
  12. Filthy! Pointing at Danny Manning in the aftermath was uncalled for.
  13. Lakers can't buy a win. They've plunged to a new level of suckitude lately.
  14. Happy Birthday Evan!
  15. Interview with the Bobs Sorry about the last link, the sync was terrible!
  16. Hey Al, you may want to hold onto the Essential Sly for the reasons cited in the thread about the reissue box...
  17. FWIW, I always find myself wanting the drums to be louder on Hubbard's Red Clay.
  18. Smush has been so miserable on the court lately, if I were Phil he'd play about 12 minutes a game to give Farmar and Shammond a rest. The Lakers desperately need a point guard with the ability to distribute the ball and not turn it over.
  19. Holy smokes, those went fast.
  20. I remember Sean Elliot would have at least one really hard dunk every time the Spurs came to town. Avery Johnson just about single-handedly killed the Lakers one year in the playoffs, he must have shot 80% from the floor. I love Ginobili's crafty takes to the basket.
  21. Just click on the links that say "here" and it will take you to the Rapidshare site. Then click on "Premium" and it will ask you for your password and ID. After that, pick one of the links presented (titled "Global Crossing" or "Cogent" or any one of those) and clicking on it should begin the downloading process.

    The Beach Boys

I grew up a middle class kid and if I'd lived near the beach I would have been a surfer, I have little doubt. So, I always liked the Beach Boys. My parents had cassettes of their music so I heard it a lot as a kid. Now I've got most of their albums. I'm always embarrassed to play them around others, though! I've also got the Cowabunga Surf Box. Dick Dale, baby!
  23. Pistachios, almonds, cashews, walnuts, pecans, peanuts...I'll chow them all, even those big old ones in the mixed nut cans that look like somebody's chopped-off toe.
  24. That's horrible. Porky's was a big part of my elementary school days, used to watch it with friends all the time. RIP.
