  1. It sounds pretty stupid to me that she got canned. When are kids who watch her PBS children's program going to see these commercial spoofs? It's not like PBS is going to run the spot, nor any of the other networks running children's programs. Kids are as likely to see these spoofs as they are to catch some soft porn on Skinemax.
  2. Always enjoyed Reynolds' analysis. Bummer.
  3. That's OK Buzzzz, I'll just rip myself copies of the discs and then put the set up on ebay. CDRs, baby!
  4. I'm immediately cutting a check to my credit card company to cover the cost of this and my Concord order. Now I feel slightly less guilty.
  5. I'm insane. I bought it. I'm going to lock my credit card away until 2008.
  6. I just...don't have the money.
  7. I made some rather amateurish decisions with the resolution and adjustment of the images. Live and learn.
  8. Today's Active Topics works just as well, Chuck.
  9. Some of you have showered me with accollades for this album cover, but all I can see is what I wish I could improve. Maybe Jim, Joe, and Randy will let me do a special collector's edition with a redesigned album cover.
  10. Maybe if A-Fraud would play up to the millions he's being paid, the fans wouldn't have to boo him. Make no mistake: I love it that His Importantness is flailing on the grand stage that is Yankees Stadium. As a Ranger fan, he earned my enmity when he came to town promising leadership and taking the team to a whole new level; only to skip town when he felt like "his" team was letting "him" down (and not paying him what he felt he was worth, never mind that he was already crushing our payroll to begin with). So my attitude to him is and always will be a big hearty FUCK YOU, ASSHOLE!!!! So yeah, I am absolutely loving it that he made... what, SIX ERRORS last week? Three in one game? And then after being moved to DH, he struck out ALL FOUR TIMES he batted last night? For the first time in my life, I actually felt a small smidgen of sympathy for Big George, having spent all that money to land a grade-Z dud. No matter how bad my boys do, as long as A-Fraud continues to expose himself as the low-class even-lower-talent that he is, all is right with the world. Tell me how you really feel, Al!
  11. Thanks SS1. Hmm, 31 albums. I think I have ten.
  12. Am I the only one who doesn't hate A-Rod? I find myself pulling for the guy. Maybe if the NY fans got behind him and cheered for him instead of booing his every mistake he'd get his head back in the game. The Dodgers are falling back to earth in a hurry. I knew it was coming, so many young players. We've got the Cards in town, who just swept us. Not looking good. The Angels, meanwhile, have been coming to life and are starting to play to their potential. I hope they keep it going.
  13. Can anyone post a list of all the albums compiled in the box set? Scrolling through all the different remasters on the Concord page is a pain.
  14. Happy Birthday! Enjoyed your posts very much on the Crouch thread. Between yourself and Tom Storer, I think Stanley got whooped!
  15. Freezing!
  16. I have the Tyner, with a nice scratch through my favorite track. A deep scratch, all the way through the information layer.
  17. Roger Troutman Bear Bryant Hunter S. Thompson
  18. "NO CHANGE!" My brothers and I still laugh about this one from time to time.
  19. Wow, where had Red Garland's Piano been all my life?
  20. It's Stanley unless Lois doesn't know who she's asking to come to the forum.
  21. Earl Campbell Runs Over Player I love Earl.
  22. Magic KB Better Dominique vid
  23. In one of my favorite episodes, an air force pilot in the middle of a battle flies his biplane through a cloud only to be transported into the future. He lands at an airfield and begins a conversation with an old guy on the ground, where he figures out that the old guy is his best friend from the past. His friend, too old to see well enough to recognize who he's talking to, tells the pilot the story of how "Ol' Leadbottom" had saved his life and many others in a fierce battle before going down. The pilot jumps back in his plane and returns to the past, knowing that he will die but knowing what he must do. Other favorites include Talking Tina, the all-powerful boy who could "send people to the cornfield," and the Hitchhiker, of course. "Going my way?"
