  1. Somehow below the radar, Aggie's boys might just get it done this year. Once the all-flash-no-substance Clippers have gone fishin', we'll see how well the remaining coaches can match Popovich (best active coach in the NBA). I wouldn't be surprised at all to see them get Timmy one more ring. Tony Parker is schooling Chris Paul.
  2. Blowing a seven-point lead in the last two minutes was a microcosm of the Lakers' subpar season. A careless turnover, poor defense when it counted most, an easy shot missed, and a wide-open three...bricked.
  3. It costs money to own a collection too, obviously. And I'd rather be my own selector. And only pay for the same song once.
  4. I've fully rejected Spotify, Pandora, etc. because I refuse to tolerate commercials. The moment those stations played any commercials whatsoever I felt like my collection was fully justified and retained all of its value.
  5. The Lakers have played the same seesaw game all season long. They can't hold a lead, can't play consistent, can't defend as a team, can't defend the pick and roll, can't make threes, they run a predictable offense, and basically just aren't very good this year. Not enough shooters and not enough bench. The worst teams in the NBA have given the Lakers a dogfight all season long. The Nuggets were no different. OKC in five or six. Clips able to grind it out and headed to the second round, their fans are in full freak out mode.

    RIP Duck Dunn

Throwing on some Booker T. & The MG's right now. RIP
  7. This one is terrific.
  8. No way, I'm so questioning the parenting instincts of all types of folks on this thread. Sheesh, you think you know somebody.
  9. The only cat my family ever had that lived a long while (Rocky, RIP) was one mean mofo. We'd have never let a baby sit anywhere near him.
  10. Yeah, how does the one behind the camera just watch that happen? Cats do not take that sort of abuse without retaliating with scratching and biting, both of which make for nasty, germ-infused wounds. The kid could have been scarred, or blinded, or really hurt in the fall afterward...
  11. The Knicks have really been snakebitten by injuries this year and they had a coaching change. Losing Stoudemire and Shumpert choked out whatever life was left in their season.

  13. That sucks. Great player.
  14. To be honest, I don't blame Rondo. The officiating has been especially atrocious this year. They stink. Great comeback by the Clipjoint, my friends who are Clipper fans are super pumped up today.
  15. Mook. I also love how a phrase like "chewed a new asshole" can be reiterated as "torn a new turdcutter."
  16. Noj enjoying the hell out of concrete:
  17. Considering Artest's history, I'm shocked the suspension wasn't longer. My guess is they saw some validity to Artest's claim that he didn't mean to hit anyone with the elbow. Why else be lenient? I suppose there could be ratings to consider, if the Lakers and Thunder were to meet in a later round it would really spice things up. Are Stern and company that nefarious? That said, if this somehow serves to shorten the tenure of David Stern it can be seen in a positive light.
  18. Here's my "best case scenario explanation." Not an excuse, but... What I was imagining is that Artest didn't think the elbow would connect, you know sort of like a "get off me" motion intended to come close but not connect. He was (stupidly) counting on Harden to be paying attention and get out of the way. When it did connect with Harden's head he thought best to act as if he didn't notice. Maybe that's too far-fetched and the crazed animal had every intent of assaulting Harden. Either way, he's hurt the Lakers' already slim chances in the playoffs and I feel the same disappointment as Magic Johnson expressed at the half. I hate when any player gets hurt and I dislike players who play basketball with the intent to injure.
  19. They're speculating a 5-10 game suspension on Sportscenter. If he misses the entire postseason, I'm hoping he's played his last game as a Laker.
