  1. Yes, there's a program you can buy on the web called iPod Access which lets you back up your iPod to whatever hard drive you like.
  2. If you sync to iTunes, then your iPod will only have on it what is in iTunes. Anything not in iTunes will no longer be on the iPod. This is why I do not sync to iTunes, because I do not want to have 23,000+ songs taking up hard drive space on my computer.
  3. Three words: suck it, Denver.
  4. Safe to say Cleveland's entire franchise is hanging in the balance. If (when) they get knocked out, LeBron walks--likely to Jay-Z's (Brooklyn) Nets and the new arena. LBJ stands to make $100 million+ in his Nike contract if he moves to a major market, and has already stated his desire to be the first billionaire ballplayer. The Nets will have the money to spend on LeBron and then some. I'm still waiting for the Lakers to play a good game against the McNuggets.
  5. LOL at Papelbon going from World Series hero to "inbred hillbilly piece of shit" in record time. Enjoyed the walk-off walk against the Halos last night. Dodgers win. Lakers win. Great night to be an LA sports fan.
  6. It helped that the Lakers put the McNuggets in the penalty with nearly 5 minutes left. They earned about two actual buckets down the stretch, and the rest were from the charity stripe. Not so good for me to watch, the Lakers could have opened a bakery with all their turnovers.
  7. Here I was expecting a full playlist of Norwegian Death Metal.
  8. No one in the NBA has a player to matchup with LeBron--but the Cavs' big men have a tough time with Superman Howard, and the Cavs have no one to match up with Rashard Lewis. Hedo Turkoglu continues to impress down the stretch in games. The Magic are now 3-1 against the Cavs this year... LeBron should have taken it upon himself to score on that last shot, imho.
  9. These guys all are/were serviceable NBA players. Odom and McDyess are stars. Livingston's knee injury couldn't have been predicted.
  10. Well, I for one am wondering if the Lakers didn't throw a couple of those games. With as much money as teams make filling arenas and television revenues I really wouldn't doubt it.
  11. Here's what I want to see from the Lakers: Post up Gasol low on the box early in the shot clock and often. Kobe doesn't need to score a lot so much as shoot a high percentage and drive the ball to the hoop instead of settling for contested jumpers. Bynum needs to look to score, and the Lakers need to give him a chance to score. Fisher needs to make shots if he's going to be on the floor. Same goes for Farmar and Vujacic.
  12. Well, I love it. Great album, awesome bass lines. The only thing I don't like is Melody's annoying laugh on that one track. Incidentally, it was sampled for this really cool track by http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=42Rkq992MSs. Note the lyrics by Willy Wonka!
  13. Damn, that sucks. I knew he'd already lost a leg, but I thought he'd beat it. RIP.
  14. Cool album, reminds me of Rahsaan Roland Kirk's Three Sided Dream In Audio Color. I especially like the track "Road Work."
  15. Can't disagree with any of that, Jim. Although the Celtics also pulled this crap last year and won. Please start the website, and include Mark Jackson and Chris Webber in the dedications.
  16. The Lakers are Dr. Jeckle & Mr. Horseshit. Won't win a title with this inconsistent play. They look totally lost on both sides of the ball. Fisher has never looked this old.

I have a few of O'Donel Levy's funkier albums from the 70s, one called Simba and another called Everything I Do Gonna Be Funky. I got them from eMusic. Really good player, but I haven't heard him outside this context.
  18. The lack of effort on defense in that last loss was puzzling and maddening. They've only played a handful of really bad games all year long, and two of them have been in the playoffs. Totally bewildering.
  19. Had a Mothers' Day visitor this morning. Watch your step! Cute little devils, too bad the Animal Shelter folks just kill 'em. RIP.
  20. Yao's a tough bastard to run around on a broken foot for the whole 4th quarter. The Rockets sure have a lot of tough luck with this group.
  21. I grew up with Sandie Shaw's 1964 version of that song. Hers is the definitive version in my book. Am I wrong and it's her original, Russell?
  22. Dawn Penn "You Don't Love Me (No, No, No)" is an uncredited reggae version of the blues song "You Don't Love Me" by Willie Cobbs. Both are great!
