  1. Bruce, I'll be thinking positive thoughts for you.
  2. Happy Birthday, Guy!
  3. Big Kahuna Burger, yum. Kuroda one-hit the Braves last night to help the Dodgers win. Quality.
  4. Happy Birthday, Randy!
  5. Happy Birthday, Stereojack!
  6. Happy Birthday, Barak!
  7. Happy Birthday!
  8. Maggette is likely departing the Clips, and with Baron playing alongside Brand/Livingston/Kaman/Mobley they could be exciting. Assuming Livingston comes back in the same form he had before that terrible knee injury, and assuming Brand is 100%. The Warriors might be left out in the cold, with Baron splitting and Agent Zero staying put with the Wizards.
  9. The only time I went in for a root canal, the dentist began drilling and decided halfway that the tooth couldn't be saved. I was sent home with a new appointment for the extraction. Unfortunately for me, the dentist had drilled deeper than he thought and had buzzed a nerve in my tooth. When the novacaine wore off, I was in the worst agony of my life. Way worse than breaking my wrist or my ankle, just unbelievable pain. I went to the emergency room and they gave me a shot of demerol--that was the most dramatic swing of feelings I've ever had, from horrific pain to not being able to feel my ass in the seat in seconds. I should have sued.
  10. I'm not sure why the music on your computer would be greyed out. What format is the music in? Does it all belong to you? In the left hand column of iTunes, there should be an arrow next to your iPod icon. Click on this arrow to expand the iPod's various categories, which should include "Music." Then you should be able to scroll through all your music files and delete the ones you don't want off the iPod.
  11. Happy Birthdays, Late & Face Of The Bass!
  12. I have a Numark TTUSB and it works reasonably well. I can't get cd-quality sound out of it, but it did at least let me digitize my small vinyl collection and listen to them on my iPod. The software is easy to use on a Mac, and I know you're a Mac guy, Chris.
  13. Be sure you're looking at your iPod in iTunes, not just on the desktop or in My Computer. "Options" should be under "Teasing The Korean's iPod" as it appears in iTunes.
  14. I watched the game, and though by no means do I fully understand football it was obvious to me that Spain was the better team. The speed of the Spanish players overpowered the Germans on both sides of the ball, and the Spanish offensive possessions were consistently more threatening. Germany had no room to operate when they did get the ball in the Spaniard's zone. I very much enjoyed this tournament, as I caught several games at a pub near my old job. Looking forward to the World Cup in 2010!
  15. A dubious feat, fitting the Dodgers' weak offense. The Dodgers have outstanding pitching, but they just don't have enough bats. A very frustrating team to watch, as they're not often blown out but just lose for lack of run support. Injuries have been a problem, and it got worse today. Not that he's a big bat, but Juan Pierre just limped off the field a short while ago after suffering a knee injury on his 35th successful stolen base of the season.
  16. TTK, connect your iPod to your computer and select your iPod in the left-hand column. There is a check box under Options which reads "Manually manage music and videos." Check this box. Now your iPod will not automatically sync to iTunes when it connects to the computer.
  17. 13/20. I don't eat a lot of candy bars. I had acne problems for years, so I avoided chocolate.
  18. I quit smoking cigarettes cold turkey about nine years ago, after smoking for seven. I'm three years removed from smoking pot, which I smoked heavily for thirteen years. Best of luck to you guys in the midst of quitting.
  19. Happy Birthday, Stefan!
  20. Happy Birthday, PHILLYQ!
  21. I dig the Clash. "Ghetto Defendant," baby.
