first round of CAN is gone and we have the following matches on quarter finals Guinee x Senegal Egypt x RD Congo Nigeria x Tunisia Cameroon x Ivory Coast Angola, Togo & Ghana who will be on the WC2006 have failed to qualify for the quarters. Togo lost all 3 games and i don't like it. luckily France is not facing them on the first game i think Guinee, Egypt, Tunisia & Cameroon will go through MCO

brownie will kill me but i have to place some recommendations here (just kidding Guy ) my favorite so far and i'm sure Bright Moments will second that: Satie - Gymnopedies et Gnossiennes released by Telarc from the decca ones, my favorite is play bach at champs-elysees if you want something different from his regular stuff i'd say Bach To The Future the DVD is extremely well done (image & sound) and Andre Arpino et Benoit Dunoyer de Segonzac are top players too Marcus -
the perfect question Bol if someone can provide an official answer to that i'd appreciate Marcus

great news Al! i was diappointed with the 5.1 mixes on the DVD but Stop Making Sense is too damn good one of the greatest things about my Talking Heads addiction was that my sister used to hate them so i always had a motivation to listen to their albums i haven't experienced so far any dual disc as Marantz strongly recommends to stay away from them Marcus

i'll take my chances...(1st place - 2nd place) A: Germany - Costa Rica B: England - Sweden C: Argentina - Netherlands D: Portugal - Mexico E: Rep.Czech - Italy F: Brasil - Australia G: France - Switzerland H: Spain - Ukraine Kenny, people here are just a little bit afraid of Japan because of their coach. Croatia and Australia are not even mentioned....well, you know, when it comes to football, brazilian people are so arrogant..... i'm not happy with my opponents.... if we qualify we just did our job, if not, it will be another nightmare. in 2002 we had a great team with a tough road ahead of us...now we do have a potential easy path with an awful team.... Hopefully june will arrive fast Marcus

seems that i've missed some discussions about my beloved team... i'll add my thoughts about Bartez x Coupet except for that silly goal against Costa Rica, Fabien never did any minor mistake when playing for France and most of all, he saved us on special occasions, he played on his regular level on the WC2002 & Euro2004 i wouldn't say that Barthez needs to retire but Greg is of course in better form than Barthez right now. sometimes experience plays a part of success on football games and that's my major concern about Greg. i trust him a lot (he was formed at Saint-Etienne ) and would take my chances with him in june now about Zidane.... i don't think his goal last sunday proves anything. he was playing absolutely nothing and ok, socred the goal but for a key player of Madrid team he is playing absolutely nothing for the last 2 years my thoughts about Zidane on the national team have been expressed before so i still don't agree about his comeback, he added nothing so far after this and for me he doesn't want to play football anymore. it's not a physical problem, his mind is not focused anymore to play on his former higher level. when he decide to quit la Vecchia Signora for Madrid he knew that he wouldn't have anymore to work that hard as he was required to in Italy our most memorable teams were made after disasters so i still think we're loosing our time keeping players like Zidane. okay, there isn't a new Zidane to replace him but we have survived, miserably yes, but we survived after Platini left so life goes on. it's fantastic to have a player like Zidane but it's a problem to replace a guy like this because people always tend to wait for a magic moment from him that won't happen anymore with the constance that we need to be competitive in Germany Romario is playing with 40 years old on the brazilian championship and it's a pity when a player of this level, like Zidane, don't retire on the appropriate time allez les bleus MCO
