  1. This is also a great trio: Grimes, Murray & Drake, Live at Kerava jazz festival.
  2. Kenny Garrett: Triology.
  3. Another great album: Destiny. Fred Anderson tenor saxophone; Marilyn Crispell, piano; Hamid Drake, percussion.
  4. I'm not sure this is exactly what you are looking for, but this is something every jazz fan must have (IMHO): Art Tatum with Benny Carter and Louie Bellson: The Tatum Group Masterpieces, Vol. 1
  5. Another recommended trio: Sam Rivers Trio: Live.
  6. Joe Lovano: Trio Fascination - Edition One Flights of Fancy: Trio Fascination, Vol. 2
  7. That's a fun one! This is the best tribute to Charlie Parker I'm familiar with.
  8. Dont hesitate. Worth every cent.
  9. This is probably one of the best live recordings I've recently listened to. It is amazing how Grimes re-emerged after such a long time he stayed away from music. The music is beautiful and the solo playing of each of the musicians is very impressive. Murray is amazing when he plays "Flowers for Albert".
  10. Yes, it is. Well known problem...
  11. R.I.P., Ms. O'Day.
  12. One more for the JSP set.
  13. For me, number 1 is Andrew Hill (Set # 161, his BN recordings, 1963-66).
  14. Thanks brownie. This is great!!!
  15. He was a real legend. Ferenc Puskás
  16. I thought only my wife collects shoes…
  17. Thanks. I just pulled the trigger! I just pulled the trigger also. This board is EVIL One more trigger has been pulled.
  18. I don't have the box set but I'm familiar with some of the single CDs (Phillips) and he is amazing, especially when he plays *Der Sturm*.
  19. What he said. The opportunity to hear Sam with this band - priceless. Exactly my thoughts.
