  1. can't grab everything, sadly. I'm not sure what qualifies as crazy expensive - most of the Togashi LPs I've pulled were less than $40, but even $40 is far from peanuts for an LP in the grand scheme of things. That Waldron solo on Philips is excellent (as are most if not all Waldron LPs).

  3. Great looking cover image. I'm sure the music is sublime.
  4. kinda what I figured... thanks!
  5. How's his Horo LP?
  6. Dubravko Detoni - Jugoslav New Music - (Philips, 21e Prospective silver series, FR) would like to get a couple of his Jugoton LPs as they look quite intense... this one will do nicely for now.
  7. Steve Lacy/Yuji Takahashi/Takehisa Kosugi - Distant Voices - (Columbia, JP)
  8. Ah, Thomas Cremer - I know him from Alfred Harth's work. Looks like an interesting record (Degen is certainly an underrated pianist).
  9. ah, too bad. Excellent player.
  10. Have heard a lot of the masters and was there - pretty f'in stupendous. By the time I write it up - unlike Allen, I work slowly these days - he'll already be onto the next boxed set.
  11. Nice piece - I'm better acquainted with his earlier work. Some years ago what was then called All About Jazz New York did a piece on him that I thought was good. Maybe Andrey Henkin was the interviewer?
  12. It's not that good in my opinion. Do you need a copy?
  13. Excellent set. Now: Amon Düül II - Yeti - (Liberty UK)
  14. I think it was in 2005. Would have been rad to see him in the early '90s or even before that! Now: Come - Don't Ask, Don't Tell - (Beggars' Banquet UK orig)
  15. probably better to stay put.
  16. I feel like the earlier the better, but admittedly don't know their full discog all that well.
  17. Saw him once and it was a trip. RIP.
  18. Nice one. Now: Ritual 7-70 - s/t - (ESP-Disk')
  19. Love everyone on that record, together or apart!
  20. yeah, he did produce and or manage quite an amazing array of bands. Softs in the very early, Daevid Allen years as I understood it (I'm much more of a Dean-era fan).
  21. I like that one a lot; haven't heard it in years, however.
  22. yeah, I saw some pretty significant posts on social media from people who knew him well, so am gonna assume it's true and that he's gone.
  23. "Poo" was Kikuchi's nickname. He had a wonderful LP titled "Poo-Sun" on Philips.
  24. That looks like a nice one. Now: The Contemporary Jazz Quartet (feat. Sunny Murray) - Action - (Debut, DK)
  25. I'm hearing from a number of reputable (albeit non-familial) sources that the producer Giorgio Gomelsky (John McLaughlin, SME, Gong, Blossom Toes, Vangelis, etc.) has passed away. I hope it's not true but if so, quite a significant loss.
