Ah, yeah I've never run into a copy of the silk screen original, though I've heard of its existence. Spoke too soon on this one, as the second side is pretty crackly. Oh well. There's always the Tzadik CD reissue...
Leo Smith - Creative Music -1 - (Kabell, US)
I've struggled over the years to find a quiet-enough sounding copy of this wonderful solo trumpet, flute and percussion LP. Just bought another that seems to be about as good as one could get.
Gato Barbieri & Dollar Brand - Confluence - (Freedom UK)
Nice-sounding pressing that has had and will have to do until I get my hands on the Togetherness original. Quite enjoyable duets from 1968.
John Stevens - Spontaneous Music Ensemble - (Marmalade, UK orig)
one of my favorites. The new CD reissue does it even better by adding two further cuts.
No idea in the slightest. It was taped by the HARYOU organization; maybe WKCR has a copy? The Raretone reissue is a needle-drop I believe.
That Bobby Jones rec looks cool - only have Hill Country Suite and his performances w/ Mingus.
Me too - never seen it.
This one always hurt my feelings a bit:

A true giant and indeed, a kind and cool guy. Met him only once -- he played in KC -- but he was generous with his time for this young fan.
Furthermore, I'm sorry to hear about your mother CJ. That's terrible.
