  1. I wish I hadn't already deactivated so I could walk you through it. As it stands, without an active account I can't go through the steps necessary to see what works.
  2. lots of rad Virgos in the music world. Happy Belated to Sonny.
  3. They should be sending the new password to the email you used to sign up for Twitter, once you enter your email address. I deactivated my account - honestly, Twitter and Facebook have gotten pretty boring. Instagram is (temporarily) where it's at.
  4. https://twitter.com/account/resend_password it's very easy to deactivate once you have a password.
  5. sad to hear, if true.
  6. only Trovesi LP I have is this one, but it's a corker: http://www.discogs.com/AR-Penck-Peter-Kowald-Gianluigi-Trovesi-Free-Jazz/release/2218825
  7. Right, that was my feeling as well. Barry Altschul is another example, though busier in his approach. Aldo Romano was also coming to NYC a fair amount during the mid-60s and also derived a lot from Graves and Murray (I think he's less involved with the avant-garde today than Altschul is).
  8. it sounds unbelievable, at least compared to the crappy Spoon version I was used to. It wasn't expensive.
  9. SRS on both sides for me. Sounds wonderful. I need to get originals of Tago Mago and Ege - sold Future Days (German UA) many years ago, found it dull then but my opinion might be different now.
  10. I too plan on hitting Hartford and hope to see you there, Chuck!
  11. The Can - Monster Movie (Liberty GER stereo) pretty sure the stampers are identical to the Music Factory version. Sounds incredible.
  12. Hope you spun some rarities on your Birthday - happy belated!
  13. ep1str0phy definitely knows his stuff, and is no stranger to "race matters." Just FYI, not trying to be snarky.
  14. That's a good one - shambolic, but good. The Arista has its moments but on the whole not my favorite of his records.
  15. The only one I'm not already flush with is the Trovesi, so that one I'll be checking out.
  16. yeah, Mats Gustafsson has two copies.
  17. Frank Lowe - Doctor Too-Much - (Kharma)
  18. yeah, the Sawano LP is what I have, bought it a long time ago. I think the Jazzprint CD went OOP very quickly. Was offered an OG for $1000 in 2002, shoulda taken the plunge!
  19. yeah, they weren't around long I don't think - pretty hard to find albums, totally unique and definitely crossing over to Aquarian Age psychedelic soul (which is why a lot of the desirability factor has come from the DJ set rather than the AG set). I'm particularly fond of Ghetto Music. Apropos of Alan Shorter, my copy of Parabolic came from Finland I think, bought in the late 1990s. I'm not entirely sure when/how the Verve/Polydor relationship came about, but the US pressing of the record is pre-PolyGram. Interesting that it went pretty much straight to the promo/cut-out bins, and I'm also rather curious about this 1966 vs 1968 recording date conundrum. Both years are believable (especially since Gato left Don Cherry by summer '66).
  20. Ha, wow - that would have been something! Sort of a counter to Ray Russell's Dragon Hill in spots. Still want to hear the McLaughlin/Hampel tapes (which featured Han Bennink on drums). Discussions is excellent!
  21. I mean, I would have pulled the trigger if I didn't get a reviewer's copy. It's not going to be sold out anytime soon. The performance is staggering, definitely a little "rough" but so, so blistering and inventive. I've always liked Lowe's playing but never been laid out on the floor by his music. That has changed after hearing this set. Just mind-melting. I was just saying "fuck!" the whole time it was on the stereo.
  22. Definitely a keeper. Perry is so great.
  23. Ah Ron Welburn, Bill D spoke very, very highly of him. Great piece. My Polydor copy doesn't list a recording date at all; the US pressing seems to list '68 (though that could be wrong - you'd have to see the session logs I guess). I've definitely seen non-promo, non-deletion copies around but it's not easy to find.
