I have 2 recordings from 1968 from Copenhagen, Montmartre that has been circulating for years. Hank was playing real fine on these despite the poor quality sound on these recordings. This new release looks fantastic.
Did anybody watch the episode of Startalk Tuesday night? Physicist Neil DeGrassse Tyson had Herbie Hancock and Wayne shorter on the show. Below is the link to the episode. You may need to be a National Geographic subscriber to watch the link below. I couldn't find this on YouTub.

Earlier this month I saw Buster Williams and his band Something More. The band played a piece written by Buster Williams called "The Ninth Wave." Buster said he was inspired to write the piece after he saw the painting "The Ninth Wave" by 19th century Russian artists Ivan Aivazovsky. Art inspires art to paraphrase what Buster Williams was telling the audience. Below is the painting. Can you think of any other paintings that inspired jazz musicians to compose some music?
Totally stumped on each track. Without looking at the other replies, I have just one guess.
#4. Warm Valley, is it Joe Temperly? Regardless, I have to pick up this recording.
