  1. I have to add Andrew Hill to the list.
  2. How does one keep up with all the new technologies that is constantly thrown our way? Is there one unit that will support all the formats, SCCD, MP3 XDCD and the rest?
  3. Has this session ever been re-issued? I heard 2 tracks off of it yesterday while driving and what a great recording it was.
  4. Yes, I noticed it was "Sister Salvation".
  5. Thanks, that will be the one I'll start with.
  6. He is playing this week in NYC. I have nothing of his as a leader. Any recommendations what to pick up first?
  7. My vote would have to go to Wanye Shorter.
  8. No jazz as MP3. The drum Cymbals sound like shit. But MP3 seems to be here to stay.
  9. Sounds like a good guitar the '33 Epiphone Blackstone Enjoy it.
  10. I just want the music. I have never been able to find these early Blue Note recordings.
  11. That's what I thought.

  13. How great does this make the music sound? Someone was telling me it makes it the music sound 10 times better then anything else out there today.
  14. That's the order in which I am getting them. JJ arrived today. Can't wait to listen to it.
  15. He is a giant, just go see him regardless if he is playing solo. I have heard him solo, 13 years ago, and before his stroke, he did a great job then.
  16. My rule of thumb on anu vintage guitar, if it looks new, you have to ask why. Maybe the owner/s in the past didn't like the sound and didn't play it much. When I was playing everyday back in the 80's I bought a vintage guitar, just because of the age and price and almost zero zings or scratches. The sound was so awful.
  17. RIP.
  18. Damn, Tower's prices are high, even with the discount. Stick to Dusty groove or Early Records.
  19. Get 'em while you can Link
  20. "Piracy," by strict definition, is an absolute no-no. I'm curious what people think about having, listening to, or trading live radio broadcasts... If it never is going to be released on CD or whatever the format of the day is, I can't see it being an issue.
