  2. Aaaaaaagh!!!!! Please, please Organissimo forgive me I really did not know what I was letting out of the bag.
  3. It sounds better and better! Shame about the Bethlehem not being included.
  4. Just back from holiday and I stumble back into this thread and feel like Frankenstein when he realises that he has created a monster!
  5. Thanks Jazzbo, you have whetted my appetite, now I will check if the Bethlehem was released by Toshiba....
  6. Forgive my ignorance, but Johnny Richardson seems to be a new name to me, or perhaps a synapse has died on me, anyway information please!
  7. ....or even the Lyons box set on Ayler records if you are feeling flush! B)
  8. What do the EMI folks have of Hall that could be whipped into shape for a select? But a Hall select is a pleasing proposition...
  9. The complete Miles in Stockholm on the Dragon label is absolutely up there with the very best Miles live albums. It is one of my most played Miles albums period. and in my opinion it is instructive to listen to the differences between Miles playing with Coltrane and Stitt. I have heard the Parisian recordings which are also very good but I think this one has the edge on it.
  10. I have the Select, but am going to buy this, I am shaping up to be a Water completist!
  11. This is the next one on my list, thanks for whetting my appetite!
  12. Couw, thanks. Kevin, me too !
  13. Forgive my ignorance, but can somebody tell me about the Coltrane disc Selflessnes? I can find no reference to this release in the (sort of) Complete Impulse sesions of the Classic Quartet, is it a later session?
  14. And now I see that there is a special limited edition version of the box with an extra Cd. Don´t you just hate it when they do that!
  15. Please fellas, let me forget that I have just made an arsehole of myself. I thought in my naivity that postings were numbered consequentialy and stayed numbered, and did not realise that number of postings were automatically updated on all posts. I now realise my mistake thanks to your pedagogically acute observations and now wish to get back on with my life! Many thanks to all who have helped me realise tha error of my ways and who have contributed to my drastically reduced self esteem!
  16. If you have difficulty in finding Silkheart releases, I know that Ayler records distribute them now here in Sweden, and everything on cd seems to be in print. And do not forget to check out Ayler releases while you are at it.
  17. Abject apologies to all.(53?)
  18. Oooops, now it went up to 51 after being stuck!
  19. Wht has my number of postings got stuck at 50?
  20. WOOF!
  21. I like this label a lot and recommend The David Wares, the Brackeens, the Gayles...and there is much more as other posters have already noted
  22. Chalupa, I was there for that Dark Star It was the best Dark Star I ever saw.
  23. The german issues are shabby, the cardboard box flimsy and the booklet unreadable.
  24. I take your point Jazzbo. I recentlly played the ladies and gentlemen-the Grateful Dead live at theFillmore East 1971 set released on Arista shortly after Hart left the band and Billy is magnificent. I do not like planet drum et al but do hold in enormous regard the`Rolling Thunder album, possibly because so many of my other faves of the time were on it, Melton, Cippolina and so on. And I guess Hart was such an integral part of Anthem , Aoxomoxoa and Live Dead, to this day my favourite Dead period. Anyway alone together they participated in some pretty amazing music!
