  1. Momento Mori is a memorable macabre comedy.
  2. Alexander von Schlippenbach and Sunny Murray: Smoke
  3. Wynton Kelly: Piano Interpretations
  4. Miles: Monterey 1963
  5. Dyke & the Blazers: The Funky Broadway (Original Sound)
  6. The Desmond/Hall is one of my favorite Mosaics. Someone should go for it - especially at that price.
  7. Sorry to be a curmudgeon, but it would be one of the last Mingus recordings I'd recommend to someone.
  8. Bradford/Gjerstad: Silver Cornet (Nessa)
  9. Magic Sam: Magic Touch
  10. I've thought about picking that one up - just to learn the lyrics.
  11. Warne Marsh: Release Record - Send Tape (Wave)
  12. One of the first jazz records I bought and it sounds better than ever today.
  13. Happy Birthday!
  14. Skip James: Devil Got My Woman
  15. Revolutionary Ensemble: Beyond the Boundary of Time (Mutable Music)
  16. If you're going to destroy 78s, scores, manuscripts, liner notes, and other material that can't be replaced - or at least easily replaced - something is lost. Has nothing ever been lost that's been digitalized? If the CBC wants to destroy everything, it's none of my business. Governments and their agencies do pretty much whatever they wish, with no controls.
  17. If you read this, Happy Birthday! If not, I hope all's well.
  18. Cecil Taylor - Mat Maneri: Algonquin (Bridge)
  19. I don't see it as an inane argument. Spend a few bucks and keep the physical media. I'm sure the Canadian government (like all governments) has a ton of wasted money in their budget, and I'm sure the CBC has many unneeded and highly paid administrators. If they wanted to, they could find the money and all of this would be moot.
  20. Little Milton: Anthology 1953 - 1961
  21. Art Farmer: Modern Art
  22. I have what I want, but the prices are more than fair and there's great music here. Someone should pull the trigger.
  23. Kareem was a senior in high school in March of 1966. He enrolled at UCLA in the fall of 1966.
