  1. Two solo cuts, one duo cut w. Reto Weber
  2. Red Norvo: The Forward Look I find it very surprising that Leonard Feather, who wrote the liner notes for this release, credits Horace Silver's "Cookin' at the Continental" as a Norvo tune, when he (Feather) wrote the liner notes for Horace's Finger Poppin', the album on which the tune first appeared.

  13. http://www.nytimes.com/2016/10/31/arts/music/london-listening-clubs-spiritland.html I wouldn't be interested in listening to most of the music that's mentioned and pictured in the article, but what did interest me is the mention of jazz kissatens (cafes) in Japan. How many of these still exist? Perhaps kinuta or someone else can answer that question.

  19. Is baseball the only sport where players use chewing tobacco? Can't recall players using it in any other sport.
  20. Tobacco has been banned in minor league dugouts for a number of years. http://www.espn.com/mlb/story/_/id/7269744/baseball-labor-deal-union-limits-does-not-ban-tobacco-useis In the major leagues, the ban is on a city by city basis. http://www.espn.com/mlb/story/_/id/7269744/baseball-labor-deal-union-limits-does-not-ban-tobacco-use Whether and how the local bans are enforced is a whole other story.
