  1. That looks like the giant wheel my friends in the carnival business own. Oh, and happy birthday to you.

Jimi Hendrix wasn't a guitarist per se? Per se who? Yeah, I wanna hear the answer to this one. Because Jimi's guitar was continually incorporated into the story-telling aspect of his songs ... the guitar playing served as emphasizers, segues, rhythm and background, etc. underlying the story primarily told by his lyrics. It's tough being the front man and the guitarist. How many great rock bands can you name in which the guitar genius was the front man ? Kurt Cobain, a "guitar genius"?

hehe I've liked some of his stuff over the years, but the majority comes off as over produced, over hyped, pop crap. These days it all seems too dramatic for me.
  4. See what I mean.
  5. My words here will not do justice on how good this was. Joe Wilder sounds magnificent. You would never know he was 83 by looking at him and most defintely not by his playing. What a full rich tone he has. To say he is as sharp as ever is not saying enough. Not only was the music great but Joe entertained us with some stories about his career. No doubt the crowd was very much into it. Michael Weiss you were obviously a great help to Mr. Wilder. Major props not only for that, but for your mastery of the piano. As for the rest of the group, what can I say? Damn, Lewis Nash and John Webber are good. For lack of a better term, you guys were all swinging your asses off. I only hope we see and hear more of this group together in the future. For those that missed this time, do yourself a favor and don't miss them the next time.
  6. He had a full life. The Munsters is one of my all time favorites. A true comedy classic. R.I.P., Grandpa.
  7. I'm in for the 9:00 PM set tonight. Very much looking forward to seeing this group.
  8. Homie needs to cut them finger nails.
  9. Yes, charity is positive that is why I mentioned it. And yes she does deserve credit for doing it, but does it always have to be a major press release? Maybe Lon is right and she is not asking for the attention, I kind of think she is addicted to it though.
  10. I haven't been to a movie in I don't know how long. All you have to do is turn your computer on, listen to the radio, buy groceries, watch TV, regualr and irregular. BTW, what exactly is regular TV?
  11. Agree. Those Pink Panther movies are some of my favorites.
  12. Is it just me, or is anyone else sick of not only seeing her picture on every magazine cover, but hearing her name in every news broadcast? Not to mention all the Jennifer Aniston vs. Angelina bullshit. And, Brad " the douchebag" Pitt turning into Mr. Jolie. Can someone please tell me the name of the "good" movie she was in? Granted she is attractive, but far from the most beautiful woman in the world. I see more physical beauty walking on the street daily than I see in her. I will give her credit for the charity work she does but I have to wonder how much of this is for image. Does she do anything without a holding a press conference or have film crew present? She is not the only one I'm sick of, but is definitely heading towards top of the list.
  13. Lucky dog. I have in the past owned several older (classic) cars. I'm a sucker for 60s and 70s model year Cadillacs, Buicks and Lincolns. I love Corvettes in those model years as well. I'm also quite fond of imports, mainly Alfa Romeo, Fiat X/19s, and Triumphs. I love the classic lines. I saw a 75 Coupe De Ville in Howard Beach the other day. You would have thought the guy just drove it off the showroom floor. The guy also owns a mint 1974 Alfa Romeo GTV. As soon as I get my parking situation corrected, I am going to hunt down another early 70s Eldorado or Coupe De Ville. Or, maybe even a Triumph TR-6.

  16. Yep.
  17. So that rules out the Cubans.
  18. It's crazy how rich this fucking guy is. The only thing crazier is the 100 billion dollar fortune Sam Walton's widow and kids have.
  19. Is anyone going to this? I am for sure, just don't know what night yet.
  20. Very true and it's going to get real ugly. R.I.P., Mrs. King.
  21. Did you book a room yet?
