Flurin, I doubt there is different remastering on the Lateef. I wouldn't shy away from it, I just listened to it again for the third time in 36 hours and it's so good. . . .

I've sought out the stuff with Lloyd. . . I like it. . . but I have to have both. Apples and oranges. I don't find the PJ "tame". . . it's quite intricate and complex in comparison but I find it exciting to listen to as well.
Seems that Hamilton is just not considered "salesworthy" as very few of the Mosaic contents have appeared under their own cover, and not much of the Impulse or Warner etc. either (domestically).
Yes, the pdf file is on disc 8 and I've glanced over it. On my iBook G4, when I load the disc in there are two files that show up on the desk top, the audio and the pdf, separate.
I like this one a lot, always did since its cd release. . . . I too think Billie's Bounce is a real plus to have.
But then I literally like all the work by this trio.
