Okay, time to move onto something I really want to hear through the new DAC: Miles Davis “Bitches Brew” Sony Quad/Stereo SACD. Disc 2 This is the original mix. I still just seem to gravitate to the original mix, even though I like the remix.

I needed more Jobim. This is an excellent compilation cd, "Personalide." I wanted to hear "Luiza" -- such a beautiful composition. My favorite niece (don't tell the others) dancer and dance teacher Louisa always comes to mind hearing this.

This is a compilation of all the tracks that Jobim recorded for the Brazilian composer Songbook cd series. Some of his final recordings and full of heart and grace and a really wonderful listen hearing him interpret these works from other Brazilian composers.

Bob Dylan “Fragments - Time Out of Mind Sessions 1996-1997 The Bootleg Series Vol. 17” disc 2 This is such a great box set. “The Water is Wide”–wow. Agree!

Still some good cables here at about a third their original prices. The cryoset interconnects are especially good at this price.

“Classic Jazz At The Philharmonic Jam Sessions 1950-1957” Mosaic Records disc X Saved this one til now . . didn’t want to get to the end of this excellent set. . . but finally I have to hear it, before I start back on this set again

SFJazz Collective “The Music of Antonio Carlos Jobim & Original Compositions” disc 1 This one is good for the rainy day outside. . .and it woke Fiona the dachshund right up.

Shirley Horn, “I Remember Miles” Verve cd Yes, she’s a great, moving singer. . . but I find her piano playing equally fascinating.

A great disc to evaluate a system with. Johnny Mathis, “Open Fire, Two Guitars” Sony/Columbia Master Edition gold cd.

A release I know so very well as it was one of the first records that really excited me after I returned from Africa in '72. Miles Davis "Filles de Kilimanjaro" SACD, first SACD through the new DAC.

I love all the Deccas. This 2 LP on Jazzology is really good as well: This Columbia is a sentimental favorite;

Joe Williams "Live" Fantasy/OJC cd. A good one with Cannon and his band.
