Yes, it's Essential Jazz Classics, a gray market label. But most of my Les Jazz Modes material (partly on a gray market label anyway) is in storage and I saw this really reasonably priced. Listening to disc 1, which has the Les Jazz Modes material from this album: and all of this album plus a few tracks from the next album on Dawn.

It's interesting how well these 20 bit remastered cds that I bought years and years ago of Miles Davis albums I love have held up sonically. Cootie Williams "1945-1946" Chronogical Classics cd Picked this up last month--haven't heard most of this ever before. It's rougher around the edges than the Ellington Orchestra and a bit more R&Bish. I'm digging it.
