Cool. I will, I like Mayall and have a sentimental attachment to a number of releases in this time frame. I spend a lot of time listening to music, a habit that has developed in the fourteen years I've been retired.

Sounds like a personal problem. Check the resolution on that blu-ray track. Sometimes they are just Redbook or 16 bit.

My set arrived. This is the real deal, a very handsome set, a steal at this price.

You can (they don't always do so) hold a lot of high resolution music on a blu-ray disc. I have a few dozen two dozen music only blu-rays that can sound phenomenal on a great system.

Grant Green "Feelin' the Spirit" Blue Note Japan UHQCD I have too many versions of this session but I LOVE it. Herbie is so good here, and Grant really seems to feel the music. This UHQCD sounds very good.

I searched for this set on Walmart this morning and it is now showing at 80.44 again. My set is out for delivery.

Two Pharoah Sanders discs from Venus Records. "Crescent with Love" followed by "Ballads with Love" (a 2 cd set, I played disc 2 first). Fantastic music. Disappointing pumped up sound.

If only all music during this time frame were recorded this well! "The Complete Peggy Lee & June Christy Capitol Transcription Sessions" Disc II, has Christy's last session and Peggy's first.

My morning started with the final show of the "In and Out of the Garden" box set, disc 1. Followed by Jackie & Roy "Sondheim" Red Baron cd. The vibes make this better than it would be without.

"The Complete Vee Jay Lee Morgan-Wayne Shorter Studio Sessions" Mosaic Records, disc VI I'm on the final disc of the box set on this revisit. . . been thinking of which is my favorite disc. I think it's either this one, or the fifth one. Great music and sound!

Stan Getz "Moments in Time" Resonance Records cd Some great tune choices and an excellent rendition of Shorter's "Infant Eyes."

One of the first Ellington record sets I bought after realizing how much Miles Davis admired him. From 1973, record 1. Duke Ellington, "The Golden Duke" Prestige 2 LP set. This is a great photo. . . but I always wondered what that had to do with Billie. I've tried a few hypotheses but. . . . Great music though.

I saw Mayall with Mitchell at the University of Chicago in a small hall, no seats, just a dance flor, on a double header with the Ohio Players, which was televised later on one of those late night weekend shows. A very memorable night.

Yes. I happen to like Mayall of this vintage, have quite a bit but this is more than twice what I have. We'll see if the order ships.

I don't know if anyone has received this. . .just seems to have been "reduced" today or the reduction discovered today. I will say this: any time in the past when there has been a bargain like this from Walmart. . . it was received as advertised.

"The Complete Recordings of T-Bone Walker 1940-1954" Mosaic Records, cd II I forgot how fantastic the remastering is on this set--T-Bone's guitar sounds like it is coming from an amp in my room. (There is a great guitar amp in my room, which helps the illusion.)
