  1. I got the cd version when it was released and I too love it. So glad to have it all (had a few discs before) and in such great sound.
  2. Miles Davis "Bitches Brew" Sony Blu-Spec CD2 disc 2. It's been some time since I listened to the "remix" and chose this version to remedy that.
  3. "The Complete Capitol Live Recordings of George Shearing" Mosaic Records, cd 5
  4. Yes, DEEP on the BNBB, Jazz Central Station and elsewhere (he may have been here early on, my memory is foggy there).
  5. Stefon Harris and Blackout "Evolution" Blue Note cd
  6. Bob Dylan "Triplicate" disc 2
  7. Danny D'Imperio is a drummer who has spent most of his life playing drums, first in his father's bands and then with many other bands, big and small, the Army Jazz Band, and even holding down the drum chair in the Buddy Rich Tribute band. He is a jazz historian as well with an immense collection. And.. . quite a character.
  8. John Coltrane "Crescent" Impulse reissue LP
  9. Helen Merrill "Brownie: Homage to Clifford Brown"
  10. "The Night of the Cookers" Blue Note RVG edition, disc 1 Freddie Hubbard (trumpet), Lee Morgan (trumpet), James Spaulding (alto sax), Harold Mabern Jr. (piano), Larry Ridley (bass), Pete LaRoca (drums), Big Black (congas)
  11. Barney Wilen "La Note Bleue" -- the excellent live session on disc 2
  12. I honestly begin to think that the estate is holding that up and favoring 80s music. And because there's some family in the 80s music may be why. Not too sure how many more volumes we can expect, but I hope if there is one more it will have the 1975 Japanese concerts.
  13. Flora Purim "If You Will" Quite nice. Background vocals on several songs are arranged in a way that brought Monday Michiru immediately to mind.
  14. Hearings I have waited a long time to view.
  15. For a while Swallow was playing a semi-hollow narrow bodied electric 4 string bass guitar. He got really interesting sounds out of that. He's also played fully hollow bodied electric guitars, and solid bodied four- and five-string bass guitars. . . he employed quite a few instruments after he went electric.
  16. Mastersound Producer: Moto Uehara DSD Engineer: Kouji C Suzuki "Miles Davis +19" +4 additional tracks, Sony SRCS 9703 This is my favorite sounding version of this wonderful music.
  17. "The Boyz" Season 3
  18. Thanks. (It's not a festivity!) Now playing Freddy Cole "Waiter Ask the Man to Play the Blues"
  19. Marvin Gaye and Kim Weston "It Takes Two" From this box set
  20. Thanks. (It's not a festivity!)
  21. You're preaching to the choir. Once again.
