  1. This one again. It sat unplayed too long.
  2. Charles Tyler "Plays For Lovers"
  3. Dave Douglas "Be Still"
  4. "The Al Cohn Quintet" Coral/Verve cd Bass – Teddy Kotick Drums – Nick Stabulas Piano – Mose Allison Tenor Saxophone – Al Cohn Trombone – Bob Brookmeyer December 3, 1956 - December 5, 1956
  5. Stefano Di Battista "Parker's Mood" Blue Note cd I forgot how good this one is. With Kenny Barron, Herlin Riley and Rosario Bonnacoso.
  6. Clara Moreno "Meu Samba Torto" Daughter of Joyce and her husband Tutty Moreno. Nice!
  7. Luisa Mata "Fio da Memoria" cd An interesting blend of Brazilian musical forms and electronica, with sensuous vocals.
  8. Yes, Hermeto is great. A 2 cd set of the first live recordings of the Grupo was just released. Now playing Aline Muniz "Outra" cd Brazilian pop with an edge--great bass player and horn section!
  9. Fernanda Cunha "Brasil Candada" cd
  10. This is one I use to see "what condition my condition is in" on the stereo. All frequencies are so nicely presented on this recording with detail and musicality. And on top of that over the years I've learned to love the music more and more and more. A desert island disc for me. "Secret Ellington"--a musical Ellington (and Strayhorn?) had written music for that went unproduced and this is the first recording of the libretto and music. It has been too long since I played this and boy does it sound great!
  11. I think there's a good chance it's an Epiphone.
  12. Anthony Braxton "Quartet (Standards) 2020" disc 3
  13. It's a great set! I purchased mine when this was still in print from Mosaic, and it turned me into a Reinhardt collector.
  14. It's a reasonable price. US buyers may be cautious of what will be hefty postal charges; local pickup or Canadian buyers could save a bit.
  15. Every little breeze I hear says that's a reasonable price.
  16. David Axelrod "Song of Innocence" Stateside cd
  17. Patty McGovern, with the Tommy Talbert Orchestra, "Wednesday's Child" Japanese lp facsimile cd. Midwest Cool music. Adding to the easing into Monday. I missed my stereo so much this weekend!
  18. Joyce (Moreno) and Kenny Werner "Poesia" cd
  19. With Marguerite Eskeridge, mother of Erin Davis.
  20. Actually it's POCJ-2752. And that material was reissued on cd in Japan again in 2012 as UCCV-0408, and as UCCU-41002 in 2021. .
  21. I like this one a lot. The most recent release from Japan in the UHQCD format (may recycle the 2009 mastering from Japan, not sure) is likely still a needle drop but sounds pretty darned good. https://www.discogs.com/release/13636074-The-Horace-Silver-Quintet-Sextet-The-Jody-Grind
  22. I decided not to buy this one. . . I have it in the Revenent "Holy Ghost" box and I'm not insanely fond of the new ezz-thetics mastering "house sound."
