  1. No thanks. You were downright antagonistic with me on the board itself and in PMs iirc. I don't want to write for your site. I'm fine about it all now but no desire to write for you. Edited to add: I remember now what set you on the edge against me was that I wrote in a thread where everyone was praising AAJ that I found the forum fine but the rest of the site boring and not worth reading. You took that personally and kept insulting me because of it and ultimately banned me when I was simply saying that there wasn't anything interesting there for me. You lost my respect and ultimately I just drifted away from the forum.
  2. Come on Vol. 17!
  3. Many many happy happy returns.
  4. Spartacus, War of the Damned, on Blu-ray
  5. I was banned because I spoke openly of my dislike of their editorial guidelines, Xricci got testy with me and I didn't roll over and take it. Oddly I registered a week later under a different name and have been a member, openly enough after a few weeks, every since. But the last few years I just don't visit there.
  6. I've got Beatles albums, hard to be a teenager in the later 'sixties and not. But I'm not a big Beatles fan. And Paul was my least favorite of the four. Means I can skip a lot of threads!
  7. Well, regardless of musical genres, there are some there that just appear to listen to "masterings" and "re-masterings" for their failings and successes and not just the music. Hey, I've done a little bit of that myself at times. If you only listen to jazz, it's rather a barren place. And if you don't worship certain audio engineer's work it can seem a bit strange. But I enjoy strangeness.
  8. Agreed. There's a "Jazz Beat" thread and a few others, and I create them when I want to. But I'm not just a jazz nut so there's more to talk about. And I like to read the non-music discussion, fascinates me what these music lovers think about and write about, and what tv and films they watch and books they read.
  9. I actually used to feel that way and practice it, but over the last few years I spend more time there than here. It moves fast and covers a lot of ground and relieves my boredom a bit more. You have to stay away from some topics and some posters but with some restraint that's easy enough.
  10. Wow, such precision banning. You'd think they would have investigated a bit. Sigh.
  11. Watched the season opener of Sons of Anarchy. Wow.
  12. Deplorable tactics. Sorry to hear that. Welcome to posting here.
  13. May not get many replies here. Have you tried the Steve Hoffman forum? Okay I see you have posted there.
  14. Exactly! Only it doesn't seem to.
  15. Just consider the comma a period. And don't use all the hot water.
  16. This is a scene from the distant future. The Chris Albertson Estate Sale.
  17. Ha, no, the news reading won't be on it. In Europe the OJC material is distributed by Universal so I think it would be legit if included in the set.
  18. Well, maybe not. The more I look at it the more I get confused. I'm confident of one thing: I have this material elsewhere. Bet you do too.
  19. Well, I've looked inside the darn thing. I think that if it cost 500 to repair it's worth it. I'm sure they'll go over it. There's really not that many little parts to go wrong or to be so badly aged. My answer, yes, will possibly have mine repaired in the future. You can get all kinds of power conditioning components for about 500 bucks or less, but not another power regenerator . . . .
  20. I think he means that this incorporates both Mercury/Emarcy sides and OJC sides together under one roof.
  21. Thanks for the links!
  22. T shirt I'm wearing.
  23. I bet Bruce is
  24. Cool. I'm still doing just fine with my discs and avoiding files, but there are many who will have fun with something like this.
  25. Awesome Daniel!
