  1. Revolution, Season 1 on Blu-ray. Pure escapist drivel but looks and sounds really good. SNL with Bruce Willis. Not much there there. Once Upon a Time: Neverland. I liked the first two seasons but this one hasn't grabbed me yet. American Horror Story: Coven. A nice beginning.
  2. I like it. Got mine (new Japanese edition) form Dusty Groove.
  3. Many MANY happy returns!
  4. This vinyl box set sounds exceptionally good.
  5. Others have joined you, but were Gary and Keith the other two you originally thought of? Well, their moms probably liked it. I like it. Right now
  6. Well, imo they're all worth consideration.
  7. Have a great one and many happy returns!
  8. I have this somewhere, haven't seen it since I moved. It's Warwick stuff.
  9. My copies have shipped.
  10. That's the way I hear it to. It's like Monk spent hours and hours with a jeweler's loop examining it all and distilling it down to just exactly what he wanted, nothing more, nothing less. And then he would now and then fuck with it all night long.
  11. These days a lot of promos include art, I bet the majority of these are. Selling promos. . . so 'nineties.
  12. Yes, only about fifteen titles or so. http://www.randyweston.info/randy-weston-discography.html
  13. Storytellers is pretty darned good too, imo. They are reissuing an Enja in November, Nuit Africaine.
  14. Thanks for the heads up. Dad will enjoy this!
  15. Okay thanks, I ignore that site for the most part.
  16. Yes, but they are all "Epistrophy (Theme)" . . . . five of them. I'd buy a set, I"m a sucker for these collections, all in one compact place. And I'd LOVE a remastered and expanded "Big Band and Quartet."
  17. I don't know anything about a AMG biography. Not sure if this is at all a fully delineated story. Seems to me that Lion wasn't into reissuing already released sessions at that time, so I'm not sure what he would have done with the masters except release unreleased sessions he thought would be viable; don't think there were many of those available. Anyway, I really like all the Transitions released and think Tom Wilson became an "okay" rock producer, but wish he could have stuck with jazz.
  18. I believe so. Little bit of detail here: http://www.bluenote.com/artists/louis-smith This could mean Lion bought ALL the Transition masters, or that he bought all the Louis Smith master recordings, unclear. From what I read previously I was under the impression he bought all the Transition masters at the time.
  19. My guess is that none of these are official releases. Maybe that's wrong. Anyway, what little I have heard of these type of Beatles live recordings they are not easy to listen to.
  20. Homeland Season 2, Blu-ray. Not as compelling as the first season. Sleepy Hollow. I really think this is silly but what is silliest is how quickly and completely Crane has adapted to 21st Century life. Ridiculous! I do like Jada Pinkett Smith, oops I mean Nicole Beharie.
  21. I don't care how many cats done climbed up the tree
  22. Hope it's a great one! Many happy returns!
