Don't have HBO so I'll check that one out when the season is over. Watching "Undercovers", the premiere. Not a great show, pretty mediocre, but man is Gugu Mbatha-Raw BEAUTIFUL!

Listened to two discs of this great set before the TV was turned on. Man, such great music.

Sound for that one isn't great. But then again, I have not heard a better sounding version since.

That second trip to Ohio and back was fantastic. I've been back a month now and want to take another trip! May go on a two day trip this weekend. I just got in my second Corbin seat, a Classic Solo for the Fat Bob. Love it! Now I can use the solo for day to day riding without Anadina, and save wear on my beautiful Corbin Dual Tour, which can be changed over in a minute if Anadina is coming along or if I'm going on a long trip. I tried a Mustang seat, but it was clearly inferior to the Corbin, Corbin just has comfort and quality hard to beat. Also installed this week the gloss black derby cover that is a new part for this year and I waited five weeks to be delivered. I think I'm done for a while, I've got the bike the way that I want it and it's so comfortable and so exciting to ride. The cooler weather is ahead in a few weeks (I think) and I'm really looking forward to THAT.

Miles Davis, "Spanish Key," Bitches Brew, (original mix via cd). I've known this piece since 1971 or so. . . but this week I've played it a few times and it stuck in my noggin, especially during a long motorcycle ride in the cool of the morning.

For several reasons it's time to re-read some Jim Thompson. Reading this edition.

Word. Great show.

As far as I can tell every release has been remastered and improved (when I can compare). Really fine work done on this series. The covers and liner notes ARE in these box sets, although reproduced 5.25" square or so!

Ha, I could care less about beer. The original mix has those sound differences on cd too B. C. There were several Japanese cd versions in the eighties and nineties that used the original mix. I have one of them, bought from one of the forum members years ago, lp facimile, it's my go to for Bitches Brew since I don't do vinyl these days. The press release about the Legacy edition says the same thing that it still says about the Deluxe edition. I'd be VERY surprised if it were the original mix when it's rolled out. (Which should be soon).
