  1. I' ve had the Stitt box since it was released. You guys are going to dig it. They did a good job.
  2. Happy Birthday Shawn! It's going to be a beter year!
  3. Thanks Drew.
  4. Thanks guys. Can't wait to go to the doctor tomorrow, never thought I'd feel that way!
  5. Ted, Odds are more often yes than no that when you order these titles sealed now at a discounted price, they're going to be "saw cut." SOP for dropped titles.
  6. THE MAN
  7. Thanks all! S, yes, it's been a very good year for me, no denying. Happy birthday Obama! Happy birthday Louis Armstrong!
  8. Thanks! I appreciate your wishes for my birthday activity, but I've been ill, with a fever 101 to 102 but mostly 103 for four days and no yet discernible reason. So I'm ordered to rest all day and I did that all yesterday and it helped so that's what I'm doing.
  9. Not dismissed. I've had a 103 fever for over three days and no iddea yet why or relief. I've had about ten hours sleep. I don't feel like arguing, and I don't ever feel I'll convince you.

  11. That's not absolute. And an argument could be made about. . . but I'll just not bother.
  12. Well, in my opinion it was both and it became both. And the "white blurs-ers" felt more comfortable creating a guitar art form. Johnny like Robert Johnson, Bind Willie Johnson, B. B. King and many others was both a storytelling vocalist and master guitarist. It's just different. I don't really like The post Nessa AEC stuff at all, and not all the Nessa AEC. But it was a music form taking in a direction.
  13. Winters does this long blues on a Fender 12 String that has to be heard to be believed. A landmark performance.
  14. Battlestar Galactica Season 4.5 Probably a good thing I've had a fever the whole time it's been viewed. it's strong depressing stuff.
  15. The sound is th bst yet on cd. The Johnny Winter show is amazing. He was already a masterful performer.
  16. It's a VERY NICE set. Great sound (some of the sessions have appeared on OJC cds). A nice cross-section of earlier styles with a great cast of players. I'd be surprised if you weren't very pleased. I keep expecting this to show up in a Running Low status . . . but it's holding steady.
  17. Love Casa, A Day in New York, etc. Amazing stuff. I view it as classical music when I listen sometimes. There's such delicacy and subtlety at play. I really love Paula's most recent albums, I know many don't, but I think they're a marvelous fusion of the old and the new, which I don't see as a bad thing, and Jacques plays some incredible cello solos on these!
  18. More than a decade ago I bought my parents the complete Blue Bird Miller box. There's some rockin' good music in that box!
  19. Cool! How is it?
  20. I actually really don't like to watch on youtube, not sure why, but I did really enjoy this one.
  21. Watching "Threshold," The Complete Series (one season). Not fantastic. But it features Carla Gugino. SHE'S worth watching.
  22. Definitely don't miss that one!
  23. Added another Sonny.
