Did you pray to the gods? (I forget if it's the YouTube gods or the Organissimo gods; to be safe, I pray to both.) But seriously, I did nothing special; just pasted the URL then hit return. One thing that might make a difference: when on YouTube, copy the URL from the "Share" button (with the right-facing arrow to the left of it), not from the address box at the top of the browser screen.

We can't assume that our cover was a Roulette record. It sure isn't KOB, yet the Roulette record is on top of both of those.

Very sad; a true original. I remember when he and the Hot Licks played a free concert at J&R sometime in the '90's. He kept mumbling these bizarre asides between each number. Towards the end of the set he said to the audience, "I suppose you're wondering why I'm talking like this. When we got here, I saw that the ad said 'Come and meet Dan Hicks!' So I'm hoping that this will dissuade you from wanting to meet Dan Hicks." RIP.

Right, except I'm now seeing that Can-Can was mostly about the skirt, while the LP cover in question might also include plumage/ruffles on the arms. However, I also see the two figures facing each other, though the guy on the right seems like a P.G Wodehouse or Mr. Hulot type, and the woman on the left is wearing a hat and maybe a bustle. So I still dunno. I'm also trying to factor in the albums that were around when the picture was taken (1963). Can-Can yes, calypso maybe, burlesque perhaps? Think:

It still looks like a calypso dancer to me - her body is in the center, with two raised arms holding her plumage, and wearing a headdress.

It's a desktop model.

Do what I do: buy an inexpensive scanner (I have the Epson V300), scan the artwork on the K7s and import them into iTunes or whichever you use.

It looks like a Can-Can type cover, maybe with Gypsy Rose Lee? I couldn't find the exact cover while doing a search, but think of something like this; anyway, that's my guess:

Yup, I have a 46" 3D plasma. Now be honest, how many times have you watched something in 3D? We did exactly once; bought a great movie (was it How To Train Your Dragon?) but came away thinking the picture's just too dark in 3D.

I have 2 Panasonic plasmas that I love. If your room isn't too bright, plasmas have much darker blacks and more realistic colors.

Took me awhile to understand this. It's like a Book-of-the-Month club for jazz on vinyl, with explanatory materials...more like a wine of the month club. It really seems like a good entry point for some consumers, prices seem OK, and at least they're not bootlegs (as they could have been with jazz of this vintage).

In my experience, it's Universal that pushes the time-limit bar.
