  1. That is a really nice Neil Young album. I particularly like the title song. That is also one of my favorite albums.
  2. Oh, didn't know that. Just heard him on flute and alto too on Bobbyy Hutcherson's Components.
  3. I have this and can attest to its quality level: very good! And also the Wes Montgomery ORTF recordings.
  4. Same point of view here, I did not get the sixties Mobley for that reason, but I might be interested in the Morgan if it ever materializes.
  5. Along with the Velvets, of course.I In the early 80s I played in a band whose singer was an absolute fan of that band and his singer Eduardo Benavente. And yesterday I searched for a post in this thread about Then play on, but couldn't find it. But I'm sure I've seen it. I wanted to comment about the passing yesterday of Peter Green, a beast of a musician. He formed Fleetwood Mac. The British Fleetwood Mac, who were more into the British blues explosion. Then, long after he'd left, they went to America and started their greatest success period there. I also like them. With Stevie Nicks. May this serve as a tribute to him.
  6. Television were one of my fave bands when I was 15 or 16.
  7. I really liked them around 89-90. And Spanky Wilson is also a very interesting singer.
  8. Oh, I didn't know that. I have Lenny's book How to talk dirty and influence people.
  9. I think I have it as a TOCJ.
  10. Yes, that's very true. Also the year of Broken Wing and Live at Nick's, where I think he's with the same personnell mentioned in the initial post. In Broken Wing I think it's with a French bass player. But the rest are the same: Markowitz and Brillinger.
  11. I love that album and play it to death.
  12. I also have the fifties box, but own most of the albums contained herein. That's why I first decided not to go for it. But I also got that email, and considering I've been on the fence for a long time, I asked myself what to do. It will be a great set! But then I decided against it again because I already own most of the albums contained in it. Except Reach Out, The Flip and some more. Yesterday I heard No Room For Squares (the RVG) and the liners said it was a precedent to late era Mobley, like the one featured in this set.
  13. Just took note of these two to search for them. Thanks. By the way, I once saw Nico.
  14. I was going to say that: I think it's part of Jackie's Bag now. At least the RVG.
  15. I LOVED this album in my early twenties.
  16. Joy Division - Unknown pleasures I once had a sweatshirt with that logo. Back when...
  17. Thanks Jazzbo and Ghost of Miles. So there's some hope of finding it. Will chase it, although I have many Contemporaries. But a whole label history really must be something, even if some duplication arises out of it.
