  1. Do you EVER buy music from the people who either made or own it?
  2. nearly 80 in Denver today... Crazy baby...
  3. Double shot of Crown Royal... That oughta do it.
  4. stuff, stuff, stuff....
  5. I'm sure I'm getting close to being burned out on always being "on the hunt." I buy way, way too much stuff... I need to just sit back an re-visit all this stuff, which includes Gigs and Gigs of unlistened to stuff from emusic..com. I still always find stuff every month there...65 downloads a month. Still the best deal on the 'net.
  6. Pulled it out yesterday and really dug it...Thanks for the reminder!
  7. If you can do vinyl, Hiroshi Tanno lists a King pressing that includes both of these 10"Lps, probably fitting each one per side. (That'd be about 24 minute sides.) 2800 yen = $24.
  8. Seacrest, to Kellie Pickler: "So, what did you buy while you were in California"? Pickler: "Shoes." Seacrest: "Anything else"? Actually, she's put on quite a few lbs. all 'round... Before:
  9. Such a beautiful cover on this one. I'm still looking for an inexpensive one with a decent cover. It's so psychedelic!!!
  10. She's probably being tailgated because she's probably going slow in the fast lane. Words to live by: Keep Right Except To Pass & Slower Traffic Keep Right If you wanna drive slow...fine. Just get the fuck out of the way.
  11. And wealthy - 3 Mosaic big boxes for Valentines Day. What did you give her? MG She went way, way overboard... I got her a Valentine-y necklace and earring set. A gift certificate to her favorite day spa. A dozen red roses, arranged. And dinner out at Maggiano's. I'm trying to hold back a bit cuz she want's a new car...
  12. The Crusader's music is all new to me. Except for what I've heard on the that 2-Lp Mid 70's Blue Note Reissue Series Lp I've got. That was a mix of live and studio dates. I picked that up a couple months ago and once I heard it, I knew they were a group I wanted to hear more of.
  13. Jazz Crusaders set. This is just real nice...right up my alley...post hard-bop. And last nite: Miles' 5-tet 1965-68 10 Lp set. These two and the Turrentine Mosaic were Valentine's Day gifts from my incredible, beautiful wife.
  14. Thanks, gents. I have none of those... The search is on!
  15. What cd releases? Cuz this was a Japan-only Lp, correct?
  16. "8 big ones"? Chewy..."big ones" are $1000 bills. $1 bills are not "big ones." "You'll be down on your knees"!!!
  17. Dexter Gordon - Dexter Calling - Blue Note dark blue 70's label. 'vangelder'.
  18. Gary Peacock - December Poems - ECM it's snowing outside...
  19. Fleetwood Mac - Bare Trees - Reprise tan label w/ Steamboat.
  20. The ones I usually see are beat to hell. How do they sound? Thin? Or warm?
  21. No luck... 4 tracks...53:20 minutes or so... A mystery.
  22. Oh, and it's 4 tracks... I'm gonna slip it into iTunes and see if I can get an Id...
  23. Up for grabs: CDR of Don Cherry 4-tet, Live in Crawley, England 1990. W/ Peter Apfelbaum-ts, Bo Freeman-b, Hamid Drake-d. Never commercially released, so no lectures please. I'm sure this is great; I just never listen to it...and I'm housecleaning...so it goes. Okay...WAIT...Hold the phone... I just finished listening to this...it's got a lot of piano on it, but the personnel listing doesn't show anyone playing piano. Don is listed as playing trumpet, piccolo trumpet, flute and percussion. The music is that kind of meandering, groove music I've heard him play on albums like Blue Lake or Orient. Anyone adventurous enough to try to decipher this mystery? Come and get it!
