This turns out to be easier with the new version! When I burn the CDR it gives me an option to name the artist and the album, and it seems to be picking up the names of the song directly from the CD after having burned it with Roxio! I used to have to hunt for an album titled Unknown, or songs named Track 1, Track 2 etc. and rename everything one at a time. This seems easier.

I can't see how to name my playlists when ripping a commercial CD that already has metadata. iTunes names the playlist for me. I prefer to do this myself. Haven't yet transferred music from a CD-R, but I suppose iTunes asks you to name the playlist yourself in this case. Is that correct?

Something's different about adding playlists. I used to be able to name a new playlist myself then drag the songs over to it. Now all I can see is a way to add a new playlist, but with whatever naming convention iPod thinks I should have. I don't know what's going to happen when I try to drag files from my hard drive to iTunes. Don't see if that is even possible anymore.

DC made a nice pick up in Denard Span, a lead off batter for us! If we can sign LaRoche again, we will have a super solid defense!

I see it when I first arrive but the right column disappears when I click View New Content. Google Chrome.

Happy Birthday (a day late), Neal Pomea!

Thank you Paul! I had a good one on Nov. 6 with most election results going my way! I voted against the redistricting in Maryland, which passed though it looked like gerrymandering to me, but all the other initiatives and candidates I voted for prevailed. -
Have a great one!

I love the Jerry Seinfeld-Brian Regan conversation about "We can put a man on the moon but we can't do this?" from Comedians in Cars Getting Coffee: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=pIN8JzCjY_Y go to 3:00

Looks like I was ahead of the curve when I bought a retro Astros cap last year that is the blue model with H and star! I much prefer this uniform, anyway. I believe the '65 uniform had the word Astros but with a swoosh of some sort to suggest a shooting star, no? I remember Ron Brand!

Well, don't conclude you have to be in another time zone to be overlooked by the eastern press. I would say it's more like the NY-New England press. They overlook us here in Washington when it comes to sports!! The press corps here can barely conceal how much they would rather be in NY or Boston (most of them).

The Nationals have a few days to sign Adam LaRoche before he tests the free agent market. His agent is going for a contract lasting more years than DC would like. He missed most of '11 with an injury, then had a career year in '12, which makes it a tough call. I hope we sign him to three years. Sean Burnett is also likely to become a free agent. Wish we could hold on to him. He's been a big part of the bullpen's success, such as it has been.

Congratulations to the Giants and their fans! They outplayed all their opponents.

Looks like the days off for the Tigers threw them off. Baseball is largely about feel day by day. While a football team might benefit from extra days off, not a baseball team. There's no way in this tournament system to formulate some sort of incentive or advantage for winning your pennant early or even winning your division. Still, the Giants regular season was something to be proud of, and this tournament could have been much worse if St. Louis were in the WS. It WILL be crazy in the future with this system.

Snagged it. Thanks Allen! -
Giants and Tigers have never met in the World Series. You would think so back in Ty Cobb's day.

Was his family name Americanized from the French Thibaut? The one that puzzles me is Favre, pronounced Farv. How is the r sound in front of the v? Favre is a pretty common name in Louisiana and I assume Mississippi, pronounced Fahv, silent re. -
Still stinging from last Friday's game when DC had a 6-1 lead yet lost to St L, but I sort of hope St L takes it tonight so that they are messed up by as many days off as Detroit's going to get. COMPLETELY unfair and so Selig-like for the late season hot team with the inferior regular season record to win. Why even play 162 games? Let's see what happens if St L cools off. In the end I will root for the NL team because I still do root for my league representative in the World Series just about every year. Guess I am old fashioned that way. Irrational holding on to the League concept, I know.

A certain Spanish tinge -
Felt bad for Rolen on that error. But it takes a whole lot of plays to win or lose a single game, much less a series.

Zimmermann and Clippard struck out the side in 7 and 8. Don't know what Storen did in 9, but the bullpen did better today! All bets off for tomorrow. The "Werth it" meme has to do with bitter fans who thought the owners spent too much on his contract. There's always people concerned about how somebody else spent their own money.

Thrashing by St L! Whoa! Is anybody rooting for the Cardinals? They're not like America's favorite middle of the country team anymore. Wish I could be at Wednesday's game in DC!
-
Late game dramatics in St. Louis, Nationals win! Werth saved the game with a great catch at the wall, and the relievers came through, with help from a generous strike zone!
-
I'm rooting for Baltimore. For Mike Flanagan.
-
Yes, Oakland and Baltimore deserve a lot of credit! This one's gonna hurt the loser a long, long time.
