I have just seen this set in a second hand shop. The seller wants £250 for it ($450). Is the price fair or is it too expensive? What would be a reasonable price? Thanks!

I will be there for Randy Weston and Wayne Shorter, and the previous night for the Latin jazz band. I have never been to Marciac before but I know it is a great festival.

I received my O'Day and Johnson sets toay. The O'Day is number 2958. I have only had time to listen to fifteen tracks of disc 1 and I think I 'm going to like this one a lot. But more than O'Day's voice, I am really impressed with the quality of the sound. A big here. The music is great too. More from me, when I have listened to the whole thing.

This is football for you! Nobody seems to remember though that they hit the post 4 times in 3 games, that Zidane was injured and that Trezeguet, the main striker, got sent off after 5 minutes in the second game. True, France were poor in 2002 but luck was definitely not on their side unlike in 1998. France has had a lot of ups and downs in the last 20 years. Wins in the Euro in 1984 and 2000, the world cup in 1998 and a few abysmal moments too when they failed to qualify for the world cup in 1990 and 1994. With France it's often all or nothing.

I would love to see the Netherlands win the World Cup at last! If France doesn't win it, the Dutch team will have my support. The first world cup game I watched was the final between Argentina and Holland in 1978. What an atmosphere! For the Dutch it can't get any better than winning the world cup in ...... Germany! After the defeats of 1974 and 1978, will it be third time lucky? Good luck anyway. My favorite dutch player was Marco Van Basten. What an amazing goal he scored in 1988 to win the Euro against Russia!

I kind of agree with you two, Brownie and Hans but France have been so poor in the qualifying matches for the 2006 World Cup that it is hard to imagine things getting any worse. One goal for six games played! What matters right now is to qualify for the world cup and no doubt that the comebacks of Zidane, Makelele and Thuram (Yes Zizou is not the only one!!) will have an impact. It is too soon to predict a happy ending but it is worth trying. The next 2 games in Dublin and in Switzerland will be crucial and the experience of such talented players may turn out to be beneficial. If things don't work out, well........ we'll be back to the drawing board. Anyway football, like anything else, is a question of cycles. France had an amazing run from 1997 to 2002 (before the world cup!) and it will take a lot of time to rebuild! Bonne chance a nos trois revenants quand meme!

Great news for the France soccer team as Zinedane Zidane one of best football players of all time has announced his return. France are in danger of not qualifying for the World Cup and Zidane returns is a big boost for the struggling French team with only one goal scored in the last six games! Zidane announced his international retirement in 2004 but he has decided to help his mates to qualify for the next World Cup in Germany. Apart from the 'Mosaic future projects' this is the BIG news for me today!! Allez les bleus!

I have just listened to the 3 'downloadable' tunes on the Mosaic website. Waow! I know very little about the Jazz Crusaders but this set looks and sounds very promising indeed. And another plus: You can listen to these 3 tracks in full! Much better than 30 seconds on the O'Day set.

I have been listening to O'Day all night on the Stan Kenton (1943-47) Mosaic set. Although I am not a big vocal jazz fan, she definitely has something special. Her contribution to the Stan Kenton Mosaic is brilliant. If the O'Day Mosaic set is as good as the stuff she recorded with Kenton, I am going to love every minute of it!

Brandon, do not miss 'el parco Guel' a superb park in the centre of the city. It is my favorite place in Barcelona. It is a great place to go for a walk and to admire Gaudi's work. It's a must!

I have just ordered The Johnson and the O'Day sets! I hate all those on the board who FORCED me to order the O'Day by praising and praising it again! . I could have waited a bit longer but in case the parcel gets lost or there is a problem with a CD, I want Mosaic to be able to come to my rescue! If Mosaic can deliver to the US in 6 hours, no doubt my sets will be here before the weekend!

Does somebody know if they re-issue new JRVGs every year? Unless I am mistaken, I don't think there has been anything new for quite a while now.

I'm going to get the Hancock and the Green but I have decided to stop buying RVGs in Europe because of the copy control system.Not that I intend to burn millions of CDs but because this thing prevents me from downloading my music on my ipod! I need to find myself a decent American seller whose prices are reasonable. CD universe seems to be quite popular here. Can you tell me more about them? Are they reliable? Do they ship quickly and do they respond to emails if there are problems with CDs or the delivery? Thanks for your help. I have promised myself not to buy one more of these copy controlled CDs and I will stick to my decision despite the hassle!

True! As I am not a big vocal jazz fan there will always be the possiblity to sell it for twice the original price if I don't like it. I can't really go wrong. This will be my first vocal jazz Mosaic set.

Just got an email from Mosaic. They have 300 O'Day and 700 J.J.Johnson sets left. I have a bit of time ahead of me then!

Yep! Just done it. I will let you know the outcome when they get back to me. I hope the O'Day set won't go as quickly as the Byrd/Adams recently.
