thanks for purchasing! Excellent date.

Yes, very strong. A highlight release of the year so far. I was always interested off the back of the India Nav reissue which blew me away. I really get your Kwela reference. There's an evident heft of experience that is lightened by great writing so it sounds very contemporary as well as rooted.

Randy Weston´s Music: Little Niles. LIBERTY/UA JAZZ SERIES/TOSHIBA-EMI LBJ-60058/UAL-4011 [1985]

Note: Reminded by Soulpope, see "barefeet covers" :D

I would've thought that you were spinning it in honor of the recently-departed Charli Persip.

Oh man.  Music doesn't get better than this.

One little collector-y thing y'all might enjoy:  My version of this record is an American Barnaby reissue from 1978.

It has an interesting label that I just noticed today as I put the disc on the 'table:

Never seen one like that before.  It looks like something you'd see on a prog-rock LP, not a record by Pee Wee & Hawk!  :P

The double album reissue of Mingus on Candid by Barnaby in the 1970s has the same label.
