Except for the Dane Belany album which, like Clifford, I do like a lot. (I must confess I never heard the Monk tribute album.) Quote

That CD was the first issue of the stereo version - taken from LP. I guess the tapes must be lost. The biography on Northway is highly recommended. A complex character - who indeed is missed ! Thank you, I'll keep my eye out for a copy. Just listened to the entire album on youtube, and wouldn't mind buying a cd, if one becomes available. The original Deram LPs go for $300 or thereabout. I enjoy good modal jazz, and this is a good one. Quote
sidewinder Posted November 21, 2020 Report Posted November 21, 2020 (edited) There was a story that Universal would be reissuing ‘Deep’ on LP and download as part of a new British Jazz Reissue series which was announced about 6 months ago but so far - no word. The BGO CD is already getting scarce - and expensive. The feedback when it hit the market was that the stereo version provided new insights and nuances over previous issues.
