Art Blakey Golden Boy Colpix. Great record, Shorter’s solo on Yes I Can is incendiary. What a strange sleeve, opens like a book, no top or bottom to it. Never experienced this before.

Freely improvised, non-idiomatic Lego building...sounds ideal saturday morning pastime. Just don't let Evan P join in and spoil the party

Playing Lego with my eldest this morning. This was his choice.

Excellent choice .... btw would be interested how the "Lego sculpture" looked like 😇👹 ....

I asked him whether he enjoyed the record and he said it was brilliant because it was like when he plays guitar himself. Which i guess is fair.

I'm afraid to say it was more about battling lego men than building.

Company - 1 [Incus, UK 1977]

I just love this music

Those are such great records.

Last one of the session:

Sun Ra - Cosmic Tones

End of session sadly. My deaf mother in law is with us for a week so opportunities to play music are pretty slim.

Sounds interesting.

I have some certain pre-bop favourites, one of them is Lester, the other might be Roy Eldrigde and from piano, of course Art Tatum.....

From what period is the Savoy Ballroom ? It´s live, isn´t it ?
I have only one live Lester that is from the Roost I think......

Yes, it’s live, from 1950.

Taking advantage of the deafness, as advised.

😎 .... btw Dave Holland is marvelous here end-to-end .... his solo on "Waterfall" and the subsequent Sam Rivers re-entry are utterly beautiful ....
