Cactus Bob
Is that an EP? It only looks about 7" square. MG "1365412670">>Looks Fishy huh? It's a CD cover. I never understood why folks melted their discs just to take a shot with their valves. I didn't want to sacrifice a good 8 Track Tape. Next . . . . Ammons & Stitt! ~ You Talk That Talk! jeffcrom
McCoy Tyner - Sahara (Milestone) crappy sound, great music. Yep - from the first notes my thought was, "Who thought that this was what a piano is supposed to sound like?"

The Magnificent Goldberg
A bit of a stuggle getting all way through this, That's what I thought in the sixties, when I had the LP. DIdn't have it long. Later I grew to love Phineas but never got this again. If you're having a struggle, I shan't worry about thinking about that one. clifford_thornton
I've always liked the original cover image but never gave the LP a listen - I think because I'd heard it wasn't that good of a record. Only Phineas I own/have spent time with is either on Contemporary or New Jazz. Edited April 12, 2013 by clifford_thornton

Kevin Bresnahan
Laszlo Gardony - The Legend Of Tsumi (Antilles/Island). I bought this mainly because it has Dave Holland on bass. It turned out to be a very nice date. Intricate melodies played by a kick ass trio.

JohnS
I've always liked the original cover image but never gave the LP a listen - I think because I'd heard it wasn't that good of a record. Only Phineas I own/have spent time with is either on Contemporary or New Jazz. One of the problems with the German WEA issue is the sound. The rhythm section is barely audible in spots. But I've not heard any other version to compare. I've not listened to the Contemporaries lately but my recollection is that they are preferable.
