Spontaneous Music Ensemble - 'So What Do You Think?' [Tangent]

finally found a relatively reasonably priced copy, in nice condition, so went for it. No regrets

:tup I'd feel the same. Carpe diem. The album you don't get is the one you often spend a lot of time regretting, right? Great group, Bailey and Stevens to me are the Fountainheads, and there is Mr. Watts too ^_^ .

Allen Eager-------- Swingin' with Allen Eager------(Marshmallow) MMLP-102

Low-fi broadcasts from NY in 1951 & 1953. Sidemen include Howard McGhee (1953) and Fats Ford (1951) on trumpet. Not heard of the latter, a pseudonym? Both sessions worth hearing but I'd not spend too much getting these sides given the sound.

Bought this Crown lp in high school. Freshman year of college it was stolen. Later that year a chance encounter with Conte Candoli resulted in a new copy. A few years ago I sold the bulk of my lps to finance cd reissues of my catalog.

On a return "back home" to pay tribute to my departed mother in law, I visited the local vinyl store/coffee shop and found this for about $6.

That's a good story Chuck. Let the circle be unbroken, as they say.

SYZYGY - Tarfala Trio - Guy, Gustafsson, Strid - No Business 2LP+7". Wonderful. I noticed this time how, in various spots, how Mats G sounds surprisingly like EP, and that starts right at the first minute of LP1. Parker casts a long shadow in music like this so I guess it's not surprising after all.

Yes Watts is there and sounding fine despite no mention in the sleeve notes ;)
