Hey Joe,

I feel bad for you actually.. See we don't have any of these type on our boards, because we do in fact ban them. I've been in this business a long time, & I can promise you that this isn't the type of press you want.  You said I would be slandering? Well what if the article consisted of actual quotes from your message board members? How is that slander? Wouldn't it just be truth to say that we found these here?

Like if I said: Hey, you know that really nice artist that nearly everyone in the industry loves? Check out what the members over at the organissimo site have to say about her? How is that slandering? I'm confused about this.. I'm afraid you are mis-enterpreting the law here. That would be free speech.

Look bro. I asked politely that you only delete the posts that involved people clearly conspiring to come over to our boards & be complete trouble makers. That was too much to ask, so now I'm going to excersize my free speech.  Whether you realize it or not YOU ARE somewhat responsible for the things that go on in this message board.

If you have an entertainment attorney, just go ask him.

If these guys wanna come over to our board, & do this stuff, & you don't even want to discourage it, well guess what? People are going to have a different opinion of the band than what you would like. I would be very glad to bury the hatchet over this, but for now, until  people here give us some respect, I'll be looking for anything here that violates the Child internet protection act. You really should go read it. It includes foul language without having a warning for minors under 18. I think you might want to add that warning since you have a guy named Jim who uses explicit language.

I bet you have a great band, I bet you guys in the band are even great guys. However you've created a hornets nest here, & you ain't spraying it down! So, the ball is your court. If people here stay away from flaming our boards, I'll stay away from exposing this website forum to the media for what it is. A haven for hate mongers.. (I do NOT include all of your members in this statement.)  Thanks for at least addressing the issue Joe.

Threats, threats and more threats. Is that how your brand of christian operates? Read the thread idiot. Those who perpetrated these viscious acts have said they are going to stop. Now you have gone beyond threats and have said you are going to continue this on a grander scale unless your "request" for censorship is obeyed? Seems like you have now begun to use intimidation. extortion and racketerring techniques to get your way.

You have no morals. You are vindictive. You appear to be a power monger using christian values as a backdrop for your actions. You appear to be a hateful individual.

Except for your continued lashing out, can't you see that this would have already ended?

You are a hypocrite of the highest order. You profess forgiveness and say you don't use 4 letter words. Then you slander, threaten and intimidate even though the incident is long since over. Hypocrite

If you would like to talk face to face about that at some point, that's cool. I'm not one to hide behind a computer, unlike others I've observed.

Meet me at the corner of Bigot St., and Cry Baby Avenue.boxer.gif

I'll be the one wearing the "urban sombrero."

Oh..., and bring a sense of humor.devil_taunt.gif

Catesta,

This was actually pretty funny. I have a great sense of humor actually.

I just don't think that what "some" people are doing here is funny.

It's not even that we don't allow dissenting opinions on NJI we do. It's rather that most people with desenting opinions can't express them without being nasty.

Example: "I don't think Norah's record is very good, there's not enough good material on it." Fine, that's a fair opinion.

"I think Norah Jones sucks, & should be back waiting tables."

Ya know what? That's a nasty, purpously hurtful way to stay your opinion. It's never going to be tolerated on our site. If you guys can't accept that, then just stay away.

He lies too.

He said he didn't have time for us and he's still here, beating a dead horse.

Jesus Christ, we are God Damn lucky my poll got Berigan to "adjust" his avatar-I'm sure that's a violation too. But you know I think its time to revive the "bouncing boobs" avatar-we gotta have something here that "musicboy " wil find offensive to his delicate sensibility.

(What can I say but that jackbooted jackass Christian Fascist hypocrites have a way of making me take the "Lord's" name in vain.)

It's time to back off here and let things go. Nothing good will come in making this guy mad. Think about Organissimo, and this board, and what could happen to them. Ya just gotta pick your battles. There is much more to lose here than there is to gain. That really sucks and I hate what is happening here, but its appears to be the way it is. In the immortal words of Monk, Let's Cool One. Time for a cooling off period.

Dan,

Okay, you would be able to avoid the slander charge in the letter of the law. But might this not be a case where "the letter kills, while the spirit gives life?" It still feels mighty vindictive to me when you speak of "exposing this website forum... as a haven for hate mongers". I am horrified that anyone would view this forum as that in particular. If there's one thing I hate, it's hate mongers. I've seen people go at each other in political forum pretty tough, but beyond that, it never would have occured to me that we were a haven for hate, and I think that such a charaterization would be unfair at best.

There was an earlier post by one of our members that mentioned the fact that Neon had gone a long way towards cooling things off, and several of our members had declared a self imposed motion to cease and desist. As I see it, the hornet's nest was stirred by your post more than anything. Then you ask our moderators to spray it down. Is this your idea of being polite?

The only points that I am willing to concede to you at this time is the warning for those under 18; also, I realize that what people read on this forum at least partially reflects on the band. Up until now, it has hardly been an issue however. Joe

I just don't think that what "some" people are doing here is funny.

With all due respect, Musicboy, a few of us have had a tiny bit of harmless fun on your board (and I mean really harmless). You come over here, and start throwing threats around all over the place.

No one here asked you to take it upon yourself to moderate the Organissimo board. And yet, that appears to be what you'd like to do, one way or another. A few four-letter words, and suddenly we're all Internet pornographers (or at least potential pornographers).

If you want to take on the entire Internet, and try to rid it of dirty words (or at least put 'warning signs' up everywhere where somebody cusses now and then), then I hope you live a long life. You've got lots of work to do....

-----

Hey Neon!!! - you wanna put a muzzle on your pit bull, meaning Musicboy. He's undoing all the damage control that you did a pretty decent job of doing in your post up above. Thank you.

If not, perhaps it might be productive for one of us to post some of Musicboy's rantings (from this thread) on your board, as an example of his supposedly "Christian" behavior. Pretty disgusting behavior, and far, far worse than anything any of us ever did on your board. This is getting really ugly (mostly on Musicboy's part), and I sincerely think we are the ones who are due some sort of apology, if not from Musicboy directly, then from you Neon, for the actions (and threats!!!) of not just anyone on your board, but by one of your own board moderators.

No one here did anything on your board that even remotely warrants this kind of behavior.

I believe that several of us here are genuinely offended more than anyone on your board could have possible been by what few little 'funny' posts we put on your board. I don't offend easily, and part of me does realize how ridiculous this all is - but all kidding aside, I do think Musicboy has gone WAY overboard. The easy thing for us to do would be to simply ban him from our board, and delete his posts. But we believe in a free exchange of ideas - something that Musicboy clearly does not believe in.

The voice of reason.

The thing is, the battle really ended yesterday. They wrote Jim that they didn't appreciate what was going on. We said we would stop. End of matter. That is until this pompous a-hole comes in and starts demanding censorship and making threats.

I know I'm not going back to his little fiefdom.

I know this thread has gotten way out of hand. My post over at the Norah Jones board was never intended to spark such controvery and I still believe that their reaction far exceeds the content of that post or the others that were made by others there.

My sincerest apologies to Organissimo for the trouble that has resulted.

Also, Neon!!!, please see this thread ("Is it over? We'll see...") that Musicboy started here, telling us to all be on our best behavior (presumably here on our board, as well as on yours), cuz he'll be watching.

Personally, if I were you, I'd bust your board-mod Musicboy back down to being a regular member on your board. Not telling you what to do, it's your board, do what you like. But he's really stirring the hornets' nest here 1,000 times more than anything any of us are doing, and we've all long stopped posting on your board. I mean did any of us post anything even 1/10th as vile on your board, as Musicboy has on our board??? :bwallace:

If you hadn't, somebody else would have. Also, I don't think any of us here has ever posted anything even remotely 'hateful' on their board. Wish the same could be said of their actions here (more specifically, Musicboy's actions).

Wise words Jim Dye, but this could be just the beginning. Musicboy’s attitudes will prove impossible for many to resist lampooning —especially since he shows a taste for tracking and harassing others across the web. E-gads, how can a moderator afford such bizarre actions?

For the record, here is the hideous post that Ed made, that got us all into this mess....

Hi everyone.  This is my first visit here and I think this a really great message board.  I'm really glad I found it.    B)

I'm redecorating some rooms in my house and while I'm picking out colors, I wonder if any of you know Norah Jones' favorite color.  I'd like to try to do a room or two in Norah .  I mean I play her CD so much that I'm always hearing her, I figure why not get some visual reminders as well  :D

If you don't know her favorite color, what do you think it is?

Thanks all!  :)

Really, Ed, what the hell were you thinking!!!!????????????:angry::angry:

Now, because of you (and the care and concern Musicboy has for all of humanity), Organissimo is probably never gonna get another gig again, and be totally blacklisted forever. They're probably even gonna have to leave the country just to find work. :( Three lives shattered, all because you [sissy-voice]wanted to know Norah's favorite color[/sissy-voice].

(Hey, on the positive side --- Organissimo, now you guys qualify for you're very own "Behind The Music" special on VH1!!!! ;) )

Does anybody else think this whole thing ought to be made into some sort of "South Park" episode???:wacko::wacko:

Geez, I wonder what would have happened if I had actually wrote something evil. For this I was labeled some sort of child abuser, ignorant and a viscious trouble making jerk.

Well I'll tell you all that I now feel like a big jerk for making the post in the first place. Not a viscious, trouble making jerk. Well maybe a trouble making jerk, though making trouble was not my intent. All I really wanted to do was gauge the fanatasicm of Norah followers by posting some goofball question and observing the response.

I didn't expect some sort of Spanish Inquisition.

This sounds like one that we would be better off walking away from. I dont know of a single individual on this board who has anything to prove or justify to this Pat Robertson clone called Musicboy(now there's an oxymoron). Lets leave the Norah Jones board members to their own devices free to sail on their sugary sea on the good ship lollipop. They just aren't worth it.

I didn't expect some sort of Spanish Inquisition.

Who's gonna do it? ;)

Since no one else stepped in, I will, I will!

tt2.jpg

The door flies open and Cardinal Ximinez of Spain [Palin] enters, flanked by two junior cardinals. Cardinal Biggles [Jones] has goggles pushed over his forehead. Cardinal Fang [Gilliam] is just Cardinal Fang]

Ximinez: NOBODY expects the Spanish Inquisition! Our chief weapon is surprise...surprise and fear...fear and surprise.... Our two weapons are fear and surprise...and ruthless efficiency.... Our *three* weapons are fear, surprise, and ruthless efficiency...and an almost fanatical devotion to the Pope.... Our *four*...no... *Amongst* our weapons.... Amongst our weaponry...are such elements as fear, surprise.... I'll come in again.

[The Inquisition exits]

Chapman: I didn't expect a kind of Spanish Inquisition.

[JARRING CHORD]

[The cardinals burst in]

Ximinez: NOBODY expects the Spanish Inquisition! Amongst our weaponry are such diverse elements as: fear, surprise, ruthless efficiency, an almost fanatical devotion to the Pope, and nice red uniforms - Oh damn!

[To Cardinal Biggles] I can't say it - you'll have to say it.

Biggles: What?

Ximinez: You'll have to say the bit about 'Our chief weapons are ...'

Biggles: [rather horrified]: I couldn't do that...

[Ximinez bundles the cardinals outside again]

Chapman: I didn't expect a kind of Spanish Inquisition.

[JARRING CHORD]

[The cardinals enter]

Biggles: Er.... Nobody...um....

Ximinez: Expects...

Biggles: Expects... Nobody expects the...um...the Spanish...um...

Ximinez: Inquisition.

Biggles: I know, I know! Nobody expects the Spanish Inquisition. In fact, those who do expect -

Ximinez: Our chief weapons are...

Biggles: Our chief weapons are...um...er...

Ximinez: Surprise...

Biggles: Surprise and --

Ximinez: Okay, stop. Stop. Stop there - stop there. Stop. Phew! Ah! ... our chief weapons are surprise...blah blah blah. Cardinal, read the charges.

Fang: You are hereby charged that you did on diverse dates commit heresy against the Holy Church. 'My old man said follow the--'

Biggles: That's enough.

[To Cleveland] Now, how do you plead?

Clevelnd: We're innocent.

Ximinez: Ha! Ha! Ha! Ha! Ha!

[DIABOLICAL LAUGHTER]

Biggles: We'll soon change your mind about that!

[DIABOLICAL ACTING]

Ximinez: Fear, surprise, and a most ruthless-- [controls himself with a supreme effort] Ooooh! Now, Cardinal -- the rack!

[biggles produces a plastic-coated dish-drying rack. Ximinez looks at it and clenches his teeth in an effort not to lose control. He hums heavily to cover his anger]

Ximinez: You....Right! Tie her down.

[Fang and Biggles make a pathetic attempt to tie her on to the drying rack]

Ximinez:Right! How do you plead?

Clevelnd: Innocent.

Ximinez: Ha! Right! Cardinal, give the rack [oh dear] give the rack a turn.

[biggles stands their awkwardly and shrugs his shoulders]

Biggles: I....

Ximinez: [gritting his teeth] I *know*, I know you can't. I didn't want to say anything. I just wanted to try and ignore your crass mistake.

Biggles: I...

Ximinez: It makes it all seem so stupid.

Biggles: Shall I...?

Ximinez: No, just pretend for God's sake. Ha! Ha! Ha!

[biggles turns an imaginary handle on the side of the dish-rack]

[Cut to them torturing a dear old lady, Marjorie Wilde]

CUT TO NEW SKETCH]

Dear Old Lady: This is Uncle Ted in front of the house. (she hands over the photo and the young lady tears it up) This is Uncle Ted at the back of the house. (she hands over the photo and the young lady tears it up) And this is Uncle Ted at the side of the house. (she hands over the photo and the young lady tears it up) This is Uncle Ted, back again at the front of the house, but you can see the side of the house. (she hands over the photo and the young lady tears it up) And this is Uncle Ted even nearer the side of the house, but you can still see the front. (she hands over the photo and the young lady tears it up) This is the back of the house, with Uncle Ted coming round the side to the front. (she hands over the photo and the young lady tears it up) And this is the Spanish Inquisition hiding behind the coal shed. (Friend takes it with the first sign of real interest.)

Young Lady: Oh! I didn't expect the Spanish Inquisition.

[JARRING CHORD]

[The door flies open and Ximinez, Biggles and Fang enter.] Ximinez: Nobody expects the Spanish Inquisition!

[Cut to film: moving over Brengel drawing of tortures; epic film music.]

Voice Over: 'IN THE EARLY YEARS OF THE SIXTEENTH CENTURY, TO COMBAT THE RISING TIDE OF RELIGIOUS UNORTHODOXY, THE POPE GAVE CARDINAL XIMINEZ OF SPAIN LEAVE TO MOVE WITHOUT LET OR HINDRANCE THROUGHOUT THE LAND, IN A REIGN OF VIOLENCE, TERROR AND TORTURE THAT MAKES A SMASHING FILM. THIS WAS THE SPANISH INQUISITION . . .'

Torchlit dungeon. We hear clanging footsteps. The footsteps stop and keys jangle. The great door creaks open and Ximinez walks in and looks round approvingly. Fang and Biggles enter behind pushing in the dear old lady. They chain her to the wall.]

Ximinez: Now, old woman -- you are accused of heresy on three counts -- heresy by thought, heresy by word, heresy by deed, and heresy by action -- *four* counts. Do you confess?

Wilde: I don't understand what I'm accused of.

Ximinez: Ha! Then we'll make you understand! Biggles! Fetch...THE CUSHIONS!

[JARRING CHORD]

[biggles holds out two ordinary modern household cushions]

Biggles: Here they are, lord.

Ximinez: Now, old lady -- you have one last chance. Confess the heinous sin of heresy, reject the works of the ungodly -- *two* last chances. And you shall be free -- *three* last chances. You have three last chances, the nature of which I have divulged in my previous utterance.

Wilde: I don't know what you're talking about.

Ximinez: Right! If that's the way you want it -- Cardinal! Poke her with the soft cushions!

[biggles carries out this rather pathetic torture]

Ximinez: Confess! Confess! Confess!

Biggles: It doesn't seem to be hurting her, lord.

Ximinez: Have you got all the stuffing up one end?

Biggles: Yes, lord.

Ximinez [angrily hurling away the cushions]: Hm! She is made of harder stuff! Cardinal Fang! Fetch...THE COMFY CHAIR!

[JARRING CHORD]

Fang [terrified]: The...Comfy Chair?

[biggles pushes in a comfy chair -- a really plush one]

Ximinez: So you think you are strong because you can survive the soft cushions. Well, we shall see. Biggles! Put her in the Comfy Chair!

[They roughly push her into the Comfy Chair]

Ximinez [with a cruel leer]: Now -- you will stay in the Comfy Chair until lunch time, with only a cup of coffee at eleven. [aside, to Biggles] Is that really all it is?

Biggles: Yes, lord.

Ximinez: I see. I suppose we make it worse by shouting a lot, do we? Confess, woman. Confess! Confess! Confess! Confess

Biggles: I confess!

Ximinez: Not you!

Oh good lord, and I kid you not, softsong is the newest NJ board member. All bets are off. Duck and cover.

I saw that too, and had nearly the same thought. :excited::ph34r::ph34r::ph34r::ph34r::ph34r:

I think that the NJ version of softsong is our own catesta under deep cover :ph34r::ph34r::ph34r::ph34r::ph34r:
