How does it make u feel when u start a thread...

I sometimes notice threads that never get any responses. Just wondering what the starter of one of these threads thinks when he/she gets no one to reply.

Sometimes it's not the actual not getting any replies, it's when you see how many people viewed the thread, ex: 168, and no replies. All those people said, "Wow, this thread sucks!"

I usually take it as my question was so good no one knew the answer. i stumped the WHOLE BOARD and then dance around the room in glee.

The thing that happens to me is a thread of 1000 replies will drop dead after I reply. I'm a THREADKILLER!!

It always made me feel 2 foot tall when I'd start a thread and it would just fade away. That could be a reason I don't start too many threads anymore.

I don't know about you guys, but I hate when I reply to the thread and then the thread dies. I always wonder if it's me.

Yeah, that's what gets to me. Happened to at least my first 10 posts over at BNBB. It's a wonder I kept plugging away at it!

The only one of my threads that no one responded to here was "RIP: Althea Gibson" -- no other fans of 1950s women's tennis? -- I was shocked, shocked I tell you!

The last thread that I started that got zero replies was on the release of the hip-oselect set: Burt Bacharach: Something Big.

How many replies did I expect to get? Zero.

All that mattered to me was that while reading a thread on this board, a poster either mentioned or posted a link to hip-oselect and I visited the site for the first time, saw the Bacharach set (for the first time) and was thrilled.

The thread got very few views and no response and I honestly didn't care. My only hope was that someone might be led either to the Bacharach set or discover some other gem on the hip-oselect site.

Wanna guess what I'm listening to right now?

What's more depressing is to find yourself as the final poster on a thread. That sucks!
