Big Al Posted May 23, 2006 Report Posted May 23, 2006 I reserve my hatred for Manu Ginobili (*not* the best "international" in the NBA). I'm guessing there are some folks in San Antonio who aren't too happy with him and his toreador mentality either now that this series is in the books. Wasn't he the one who fouled Dirk with 11 seconds left in regulation that allowed Dirk the three points to tie the game? I bet he's on a lot of Spurs fans shitlist right now. -_- Quote

Jim Alfredson Posted May 23, 2006 Report Posted May 23, 2006 Congrats to the Mavs, although I would've loved to see the Pistons cream San Antonio in the Finals this year (and you know they would absolutely demolish them). The Mavs may prove to be a bigger challenge. I do not think the Suns will get past the Mavs. I'm no fan of Ginobli at all. He got away with murder last year against the Pistons. Quote
Soulstation1 Posted May 23, 2006 Author Report Posted May 23, 2006 (edited) James Oscar i should NOT offer this deal, but the WTF 1 $10 2 admit the other team is better 3 avitar of choice for a month 4 guest spot on the other's next cd i am getting tired of takin' you to the cleaners every mf year Edited May 23, 2006 by Soulstation1 Quote
Noj Posted May 23, 2006 Report Posted May 23, 2006 I will be interested to see if the Mavs or the Pistons/Heat have the ability to slow the Suns down. The Lakers and Clippers' sad excuse for defense sure couldn't do it--at least not when it counted. Those mf Suns can shoot the ball! Leandro Barbosa and Boris Diaw killed my squads--they look like some of the best international players this year. But they're not Dirk Nowitzki, easily the best international player. Well, Nash is an import too, but he's from Canada and that doesn't really count. Quote

Noj Posted May 23, 2006 Report Posted May 23, 2006 Looks like they missed the top two: Kermit Washington's attempted murder of Rudy T and Ron Artest's looney assault on several innocent bystanders in the crowd. Quote

You remember that Kermit Washington assassination attempt?? Man, exactly how old are you Noj? Ginobli really blew it. Pops talked his head off in the time out about "DO NOT FOUL." Spurs had the game. Mavs capitalized on it in overtime. Good for them... Sorry my Clips played so badly, not that they lost but that they played so badly... OK on to the Pistons and Heat..... I got no points for Spurs and Clips, so I guess I still have 91 points. :bwallace2: Quote
Soulstation1 Posted May 23, 2006 Author Report Posted May 23, 2006 right # of games and wrong team = zero points Quote

Good for them... Actually, I agree with this. If Ginobili hadn't fouled Dirk when it was 104-101, it likely would have turned into a free throw shooting contest for the remaing however many seconds, and I think the Spurs would have prevailed. And Ginobili had a chance to make amends at the very end of regulation but missed the shot. That would have iced it too. But Mavs outplayed the Spurs in the OT, no doubt. Quote

connoisseur series500 Posted May 24, 2006 Report Posted May 24, 2006 I talked to $$1 on the phone today and he wants me to announce that he's officially predicting a Heat victory tonight. He's at work and unable to post. He's also waiting on Jim's response to the bet offer. Quote
Bright Moments Posted May 24, 2006 Report Posted May 24, 2006 All the Pistons haters... what's up?! :bwallace2: now the fun starts! like i said! (still think the heat stink jim?) what makes the heat a championship team this year is that even when they are not playing great, they still win the games! even when their stars (wade, shaq) turn in an average game, the supporting cast steps it up! BruceW Posted May 24, 2006 Report Posted May 24, 2006 Never have liked Tony Parker, never will. Ever. ... Why not?? because he has Eva and you don't?? Jealousy rears its ugly head again. Quote
connoisseur series500 Posted May 24, 2006 Report Posted May 24, 2006 I'm going on record to predict the Pistons will beat the Heat in this series, but.... Where the Hell are all the Pistons fans? You guys don't believe in your team? $$1 is trashtalking and you guys are just eating it. Darko, Bruce, Jim.... Where's the belief? (But I must also say the Pistons have played w/o inspiration throughout these playoffs. They sure don't look like the same team during the first half of the season.) Quote
Jim Alfredson Posted May 24, 2006 Report Posted May 24, 2006 SS1 does this every year. What's new? He's going to lose another $10. He's 0-3 against me and the Pistons. The Pistons were obviously tired, not making shots that they usually make. They had a LOT of wide open shots that just didn't fall. If they had, it would've been a 20 point blowout. The shots kept bouncing off the front of the rim, which is a sign of fatigue. I don't know why Flip Saunders played the starters for almost ALL of the third quarter, finally doing a substitution with 2 minutes to go. That said, this upcoming schedule favors the Pistons BIG TIME. The games are played almost every 2 days. Look for the Pistons to win the next two. As far as other players for the Heat stepping up... what was Udonis Haslem's final tally? 0-16? I'm not really worried about this series. The Pistons should still take it in 6. Quote
Jim Alfredson Posted May 24, 2006 Report Posted May 24, 2006 And what was with Pat Riley employing the "Hack-a-Ben" with 2:30 to go and the Heat up by 9?!? LAME, is what it was. Quote
HolyStitt Posted May 24, 2006 Report Posted May 24, 2006 SS1, Here's my second round point total: 46 points, for a total so far of 98 points. Quote

JSngry Posted May 24, 2006 Report Posted May 24, 2006 Tony Parker reminds me of a gay pimp pretending to be straight. Not that there's anything wrong with that... Quote
Soulstation1 Posted May 24, 2006 Author Report Posted May 24, 2006 For The Offical Organissimo Sports Record Book James Oscar leads the all time series 2 - 0 vs me ( i guess Michigan vs MSU isn't included in the total) Quote
