7/4 Posted January 6, 2007 Report Posted January 6, 2007 I liked it. Too bad MTV videos here in the states aren't this good. Quote

Brad Posted January 6, 2007 Report Posted January 6, 2007 That is jaw dropping video. As a person with no musical or dancing talent, I'd like to think I could have done better. Quote
Rooster_Ties Posted January 6, 2007 Report Posted January 6, 2007 Wow! Dancing was REALLY bad back then. (And the singing was none too good either.) Quote
JSngry Posted January 6, 2007 Author Report Posted January 6, 2007 That is jaw dropping video. As a person with no musical or dancing talent, I'd like to think I could have done better. It's something like this video that makes you appreciate Lawrence Welk... Quote
J Larsen Posted January 6, 2007 Report Posted January 6, 2007 That is jaw dropping video. As a person with no musical or dancing talent, I'd like to think I could have done better. You know, this made me think of something. When I was a teen, I used to think "man, I wish I had been in Band X" (where Band X was whatever I was into at the time), until one day when I realized that Band X wouldn't have been very good had I been a member. Well, I think I've finally found a group I could have improved. Quote
JSngry Posted January 6, 2007 Author Report Posted January 6, 2007 Well, that group/song/video was from Finland and it was from the early 80s, before everything was so hooked up that its badness would have been immediately apparent, as it would if it were made today. So maybe that's an excuse. But then again... Quote
Claude Posted January 6, 2007 Report Posted January 6, 2007 Reminds me of some of the dancing in Benny Hill shows Quote
brownie Posted January 6, 2007 Report Posted January 6, 2007 Looks like a leftover from one of those Eurovision song contests Quote
Jim Alfredson Posted January 6, 2007 Report Posted January 6, 2007 I don't know. This one might be worse... especially because of the "hidden" meaning behind the lyrics. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=pO-Ken1BROM Quote
JSngry Posted January 6, 2007 Author Report Posted January 6, 2007 (edited) I don't know. This one might be worse... especially because of the "hidden" meaning behind the lyrics. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=pO-Ken1BROM Hidden? Let's see if this works... <object width="425" height="350"><param name="movie" value="http://www.youtube.com/v/pO-Ken1BROM"></param><param name="wmode" value="transparent"></param><embed src="http://www.youtube.com/v/pO-Ken1BROM" type="application/x-shockwave-flash" wmode="transparent" width="425" height="350"></embed></object> Nope. No way to embed on the o-board? Edited January 6, 2007 by JSngry Quote
Jim Alfredson Posted January 6, 2007 Report Posted January 6, 2007 Nope. Too dangerous to allow embedding in a forum like this. Quote
Dan Gould Posted January 6, 2007 Report Posted January 6, 2007 Um, guys? I've gouged my eyes out and I was wondering if someone could come and help me find them. Quote

Swinging Swede Posted January 6, 2007 Report Posted January 6, 2007 Someone commented that the Finnish video is from 1978 (sounds like it), rather than the 80s. That was before MTV, when the art of making videos was in its infancy, and there was nothing like the professionalism of today, especially not in a small country like Finland. I don't think it's much worse than a lot of other things from its time. For example, as big as ABBA was in the 70s, their videos are considered amateurish today. Anyway, this may be the right thread to post this gem: K-Fed - Lose Control "Don’t hate me cos I’m a superstar"... Quote
