British jazz reissues

I suspect because these are the most sought after, possibly Mr Smith aside, on the 2nd hand market and I think have a reputation and caché that may well attract a wider audience. Also, there's the tie in with Norma who is still making waves over here (see latest BBE).

The Dutton CDs are great but even their prices are creeping up now, obviously not to the price point of the box.

It will be interesting to see if individual LPs get released later on as Jazzman did with the Rendell/Carr.

It's great to see some of the best UK Jazz in the limelight once more. The production values of this series have been very good so no reason for them not to be on this set.

Really nice to see. 

I'd love to see more reissues from this era. Not just in the UK but from other international scenes. France had that great CD reissue series a while back, and Japan and Poland are well represented, but I'm not aware of equivalents for Germany, Italy, Sweden etc.  If nothing else, reissues like this help to establish a canon and give direction to younger listeners.
