ive heard he was a huge player-- i dont know if it was in his personal life only and he only recorded on grand, or if he made albums w/ synths--- do you know? id be interested in exploring this--- i just saw an old roland synth ad with him in it too.........

There's also some electric piano on at least one of the Basie/Peterson Pablo discs, they both play electric piano (one at the time).

Seriously, he did use synthesizer while working on new compositions in his home studio and was rumored to be issuing an all synthesizer album (mentioned in the liner notes to one Pablo album). During a 2002 interview with him, it didn't seem like he had plans to issue any of this work.

yeah, I think it was talked about in Downbeat once, he used it for composing. Another thing he mentioned once is he would to have loved to collaborate with Pat Metheny.
