mjzee
The Oliver Nelson Mosaic is available on iTunes for $44! Are there other Mosaics available there? (Of course it's not advertised as a Mosaic but just as being from the Verve Music Group.) They're usually cheaper on eMusic. For example, the Nelson is $29.30 for members: eMusic

jeffcrom
Somebody (leeway, I think) posted that they were listening to Lumps by Steve Lacy yesterday, and I had a fit of jealousy, since I've been looking for an affordable copy for years. I decided that the only way I would ever hear this album would be to find a bootleg download. While searching, I saw to my surprise that it's available as a legal download, and it's cheap - less than five bucks at Amazon. The album is listed as by "Instant Composers Pool," although the individual tracks are under Lacy's name. Steve Lacy - Lumps
mjzee
Amazon is having a huge $5 jazz mp3 album sale. 73 web pages with 24 albums per page. A lot of Impulse titles, most if not all of Sinatra's Reprise albums, and a wide variety of good stuff in general. Check it out: http://www.amazon.com/s/ref=sr_pg_3?rh=n%3A163856011%2Cn%3A%21624868011%2Cn%3A625036011%2Cp_n_feature_browse-bin%3A625150011&page=3&bbn=2384464011&ie=UTF8&qid=1417655442
GA Russell
Nice varied selection, Michael! I see two albums by Walter Wanderley that I have never seen before. The covers' artwork suggest that they were both on A&M when Creed Taylor was with that label in the late '60s. I'm surprised that I've never seen them in 45 years. mjzee
Some nice pickings throughout. Charlie Haden duets that were on Artists House... The Abbey Lincolns on Verve... Johnny Smith's last album on Verve... Pee Wee Russell's Ask Me Now... GA Russell
I noticed a favorite of mine (I've mentioned it before) that I thought has been out of print for years - Helen Merrill's You've Got a Date with the Blues. On the lighter side, I saw as number of Howard Roberts Capitol albums from the mid to late '60s that I remember seeing in the stores. There are some trading of fours between Lee & Warne that are quite probably the (and definitely among the) very greatest documented example of that particular art.
