Most of Grant's work on BN was with organs or Sonny Clark, so its nice to hear someone different (the undervalued Kenny Drew). Especially nice versions of "Exodus" and "So What". But if you do (and I do), this is a must pickup, as is all of his BN output (at least before the late 60s). Ben Dixon on drum, Ben Tucker on bass, how could you go wrong? mikeweil Posted January 29, 2004 Report Share Posted January 29, 2004 Drew was always excellent on his sessions for Blue Note, I bought Jackie McLean's Bluesnik for him and was not disappointed. There is so much consistent Green from this period I find it hard to name a favourite. But this one wont disappoint.
