And I've no doubt that it's all 100% true, at least in the sense that it was all actually said by who it says said it. But whereas before, Twinkies were just insane, now they are truly insane. Go bankrupt and fire all unionized workers and their pensions go bye bye.Twinkles suck.Or you can blame the union for not being willing to bend on some very unreasonable work rules (if I recall, the union in charge of deliveries wouldn't allow bread and more cake-like products such as Twinkies to be delivered in the same truck). Most of the unions were willing to negotiate. One wasn't and thought that management was bluffing...These times suck, no question about it, but not recognizing that and being a bit more flexible is simply a recipe to lose everything. Quote

The only thing missing, iirc, is that the leadership negotiated an agreement. Rank and file rejected it, and caused everybody to lose their jobs. If they weren't irredeemable crap, I'd go buy a package of Twinkies now that they are coming back. Quote
